𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄, 𝐉𝐀𝐂𝐊 𝐑𝐎𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐓 Avery and I lie, on his plain beige couch that truly does not feel as plain as it did before. I run my fingers through his hair, his head buried in the crook of my neck and his arms holding me as close to him as humanly possible. "My breathing matches with your heartbeat," he blurts quietly.
I smile to myself, "That's cute." He hums in response, not liking my choice of words, I'm sure.
"So ... I didn't know you skate," he mumbles, moving his right hand and lifting my shirt up a little to expose my stomach. I inhale sharply at the action, but Jack doesn't pay me any mind and instead draws little shapes lightly, goosebumps arising on my cold skin.
"Since, like, third grade," I smile.
Why can't I stop smiling? Jesus.
I see Jack bite his lip. "That's kind of hot, Merida," he says with his lazy, scratchy voice.
I lick my dry lips and attempt to control the red blush coming to my cheeks, "Shut up."
He chuckles lowly, "Just voicing my opinion."
"Well unlike me, you look like the typical skater boy," I tease.
"Why, thank you. I take pride in my work," he smirks playfully.
I laugh at that, high off of his intoxicating scent. We stay quiet for a few more moments before I clear my throat, "I need to go get ready for my next class."
Jack groans and wraps both his arms around me once again, except tighter. "No," he grumbles.
"Jack," I laugh.
"Mmm, one more hour," he mumbles and lays his head on my bare stomach, shutting his eyes. I bite my lip to keep from laughing because his curls tickle my skin.
"I'm serious, Avery," I say softly.
He groans again, keeping his eyes closed. "Don't leave, Renee. We haven't even had fun, yet."
I roll my eyes, "And what did you have planned?"
You know better than to ask, my brain screams at me.
He gazes up at me, a playful look in his eyes. "Well ..." he whispers, his hand gliding up my bare stomach. I shiver as he leaves goosebumps on my skin in his wake, my heartbeat accelerating. He lifts the black shirt above my black bra slowly. Jack bites his lip, keeping his eyes on the swell of my breasts. He mumbles something to himself and looks back into my eyes. "May I touch you?"
