New Found Love

After Brooklyn and Caitlin went home i quickly clean up the house since mum is coming back today, made popcorn and started watching a movie,

I hear the door bell ring and got up to answer it

I open the door and see my grandma, what is she doing here?

"Hello love"

"Hi gran whats up?"

"Well, i suppose you haven't heard the news?"

"No what news?"

"Well your mum was supposed to come home a little earlier last night instead of today but the bad news is that the plane she was on had some issues and crash landed in some rainforest, everyone including your mother died"

"W-what, are you serious?"

"Yes, im so sorry"

I stand there crying my eyes out while hugging my grandma with her also crying

"What am i supposed to do?"

"I have planned for you to stay at either my house or your friend Caitlin's house untill we have sorted out more of the details, its up to you where you want to stay."

"I think I'm going to stay with caitlin if thats okay, does her mum know?"

"Yes, like i said its all been sorted out for now." My gran says as she picks a strand of hair and puts it behind my ear

I go into my bedroom and start packing my bag, I'm never going to see her again. she will never see me get married and walk down the aisle. she will never meet her grandchildren and she wont be there for me anymore. I sit on my bed with head in lap just crying, crying until she comes back this will never work so I pull myself together and start packing again

My bag is packed and I'm ready to go to Caitlin's house, as i walk through the hallway i pass my mums bedroom, I walk into the room and to her jewellery box, i open it up and see a mix of gold and silver rings, bracelets and necklaces. One golden necklace stands out to me, iv never seen my mother wear it before but it looks beautiful. A golden chain with a gold guardian angel holding a small ruby carved into the shape of a love heart, i put it around my neck and walk down stairs to wear my gran is sitting playing with her ring

"Ready to go?"

"Yep"

We walk to Caitlin's house just next door, I just walk in without knocking & turn my head to wear Caitlin is sitting with her phone, she looks up and notices my probably red and puffy eyes

"Oh my gosh whats wrong?" she walks over to me with the tissue box from the table with a worried expression

"M-m-mum died" i burst out in tears hugging my best friend

"Im like speechless, thats so unexpected are you sure" she asks rubbing my back

"Yes otherwise i wouldn't be crying duh"

"Well yea right okay"

Caitlin's mum walks in and tells me that everything is going to be okay but we all know that it wont be.

Caitlin and I walk into her room passing gran and her mum, I chuck my bag onto the ground and leen on her bed with Caitlin both on our phones

"So, do you know what happened?"

"She was on the plane and it crashed. all i know"

"Ok"

I log onto Facebook and message Luke

Me: "Hey"

Luke: whats up?

Me: allot.

Luke: you okay?

Me: not really but i don't want to talk about it right now, i wish you were here

Luke: i wish i was there too x

Me: what you doing now?

Luke: at a mates house playing XBox

Caitlin's mum pokes her head through the door "Lunch is ready"

"Okay we'll be out soon" Caitlin replies

Me: iv gotta go but i'll talk with you later, bye x

Luke: seeya x

After lunch and saying bye to gran i hang out in the hammock with Shelly the turtle while Caitlin does her homework on the computer.

Soon the day was over and I was laying in the spare bedrooms bed talking with Luke again

Luke: so what happened today?

Me: well, i found out that my mum died last night from a plane crash and i only found out this morning by my gran

Luke: are you okay? that must be so rough, now i really wish i was there

Me: I'm not that okay, she's going to miss so much of my life

Luke: I'm so sorry ash :(

Me: you don't need to say sorry, its not like you crashed the plane.

Luke: i know but i still feel bad

Me: okay well I'm going to bed now x goodnight

Luke: goodnight xx
