Its the morning of my birthday and iv been waken by Caitlin, her mum and my grandma with a birthday cake as my breakfast. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU..." They sing as i sit up from my bed "HAPPYYYY BIRTHDAY TO ASHLEIGHHH, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!" i blow out my candles and Caitlin passes me a card "happy birthday." she smiles as i open the card.

In the card there is $150 with a lot of writing just saying to have a great day and that there sorry my mum isn't here, which doesn't help at all.

"Ok we will have the cake and then me and you will get dropped of at the beach since you dont want a party."

"Okay, thank you guys"

We finish the cake and i go to my room and get dressed into my bathers,before leaving i pick up my phone and see a message from Luke

Luke: Happy biryhday!!!x

Me: thank you :)))

Luke: Calum is here to & he says happy birthday

Me: thanks Cal!

I reply and head to the lounge room were everyone is waiting for me

"Off we go!" says caitlins mum grabbing her car keys

"Ill see you later darling if im still here" my grandma says sitting down onto the coach with her tea

Caitlins mum drops us off at the beach closest to the markets and heads back home as Caitlin and I walk to get fro-yo. Once we have our frozen yoghourts we sit down and talk about all the cute boys that walk past

"Damn that one has a cute ass"

"Ahaha Caitlin lets go swim now, i think im starting to get burnt"

We through our empty ice-cream containers into the bin and jog in the sand until we feel the water on our feet

"Thats bloody freezing!" Caitlin says as she rubbs her shoulders and walks in further untill the water is reaching half way up her legs

I follow her actions and splash water onto her and watch as she screams

"That was not cool!"she splashes water back onto me

"Argh! that was twice as much as i did to you!" i splash her back and she splashes me back and were just splashing each other untill were soaked, i jump onto Caitlin's back and she collapses into the water making us both go down

"Oh god thats so cold" i say standing back up

After being in the ocean for an hour and a half we ring her mum to pick us up, caitlin goes behind a tree to talk to her mum making sure i wasn't around... weird.

"Theres mum"

Caitlin says pointing to her black Suzuki car

We both hop into the back seat of the car when Caitlin's mum pulls up in front of us

"Hey girls"

"Hey"

"Did u guys have fun?"

"Yeah, it was really cold at first"

"I bet"

After a ten minute car ride were finnaly home

Caitlins mum unlocks the door and gestures for me to open it and walk in side so i do

"SURPRISE!"
