Sans POV
(Y/n) and I walk into the hour, damp. The date didn't stop at waterfall. We went stargazing and watched fireworks. I wasn't about to finish the date just yet. I pull out a little red box from my pocket while (y/n) wasn't looking. Once I give it to her our date will finally be over.

I see Papyrus watching the TV looking distressed. I walked over to see what the problem was as (y/n) followed behind.

A news reporter was on the screen. A breaking news bar at the bottom reading; "Mysterious strings of murder."

"Police have discovered multiple corpses at and around [insert address here], there is not even a drop of evidence on as to whom the killer may be. Police are asking anyone if they have any sorts of leads to call [insert phone number here]." The man had read off his papers.

I was shocked maybe there really was an insane killer by (y/n)'s old house. I know I didn't commit them. It's a good thing she decided to move, one of them coulda been her.

(Y/n) was white. I understand why, just to imagine that being her is petrifying. I hold her in my arms and she started breathing heavily.

I pet her head while trying to reassure her. She holds me after a bit and kisses my cheek.

Papyrus looks at us and hugs us both then walks upstairs. I guess he needed some time to collect his thoughts. That makes now the perfect time to give my gift to (y/n).

I sit her on the couch with me and kiss her cheek. She looks up at me, she's so cute. I take the box out of my pocket. She stares at it as I open it. Inside was a (f/c) ring. She gets up quickly.

"No! No! No! This is too fast! We just started dating Sans!" She screamed while backing away.

I look confused and then it clicks, she thinks I'm asking to marry her. I'm a little upset that that was her reaction to us getting married but a bit relieved that I'm not asking if that.

I get up and hold her hand, "(y/n) I'm not asking you to marry me, calm down. It's a promise ring (y/n). It's to show that we'll be together forever and maybe when we're older we'll get married."

She looks a bit in embarrassed. "O-oh-".

I laugh a bit. "So do you promise to always be with me my love?" I ask.

She nods her head and gives me her hand. I kiss it before putting the ring on her finger. She lights up when she sees how shiny it is. "How did you afford this?" She examines the ring.

"It's nothing too big for my queen." I bow before her and we both laugh.

I kiss her a goodnight so she can go shower. She walks upstairs and I stay downstairs to give her some privacy. I watch the TV for a while till she comes downstairs wanting me to hold her. I had already changed my clothes so we went straight to bed.

I cuddle her so that she can fall asleep. She just sits there staring at my chest.

"Sans?"

"Yes my princess?"

"Did you...possibly have anything to do...with those...murders?" She asked shyly.

I laugh to hide her suspicions. "Sweetie why would I do anything like that?"

She shrugs.

"I wouldn't hurt anyone unless it was to protect you. Remember what I said sweetie?"

She nods and starts tearing up. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have thought that."

I pat her head gently as I rub her back. "It's okay, you're just scared." I kiss her cheek and forehead.

She soon falls asleep, leaving me to think of how she jumped to that conclusion. Maybe I should lay low for a bit so she doesn't get too suspicious. I'd lose her if I ever told her the truth, and that's too much of a sacrifice.

I sleep while holding her tightly. She's mine and I'll keep it that way by any means.
