Chapter 5
*Aftermath*Jackson felt extremely drowsy and irritable once he entered the Hotel. His eyes were swollen, and his skin was paler than usual. Not to mention the exaggerated headache he had. He tried to hide his hangover but Mark noticed the other's zombie state as soon as he moved his glance up.
"Hey are you alright? You look like you just woke up from the death."he said gently placing his hands on Jackson's cheeks. "You feel warm...but it's not a fever." The older was used to this. He always had the bad habit of being too overly touchy with everyone he knew. Although it was not in a bad way, it was a way of him showing his affection and care towards others since he was not very good at expressing it verbally.
This gave him lots of trouble in the past, specially when he was in high school. The girls, and people around him would always get the wrong idea because of his actions. That why many people also turned on him when they realized it was just a pure form or showing affection towards a friend. Nothing special really.
"Sorry boss....I didn't sleep much the last couple of nights."Jackson confessed as he backed away, with his face oddly blushing. His heart skip a beat at the same time his body hit against the desk.
What the hell was happening to him? Mark noticed the odd behavior but didn't think anything of it. "Umh....please get more sleep, I worry about my employee's,okay?"Mark said genuinely. The younger gave him a gentle nod, "I'll be in my apartment if you need anything."
Thankfully Mark lived just right across the street. Soon enough his boss left and he was now sitting alone. Yet for some reason he still felt strangely embarrassed. He was driven out of his thoughts by one of the guests in front of him. "Uh-sorry. Hello, welcome to the Hotel. Room for one?"
"Two, actually..."
He signed in the couple and sat down on the chair. He looked at the long list of this he had to do today. Clean the first floor. Clean the pool. Clean the bathroom. Jackson groaned and stood up. Since not many people were coming in he place up the "full rooms" signs and grabbed the bathroom cleaning supplies.
He also took the pair of keys to the rooms. It was basically his entire job right inside that keychain. If he lost that, he would be in great trouble.
As he was walking past one of the rooms, he noticed the door was slightly opened. 'Maybe the guests forgot to close it?' He thought as he walked in closer and did a small attempted to open the door, he heard noises coming from the room.As he peaked inside he was left in shock, he almost dropped the bottle of water on his hand. Two men, whom he recognized from before, were fucking inside the room. He gasped softly before leaving the door and walking away, slightly blushing. He would usually not be bothered by something like that, but lately he has been becoming way to sensitive.
Did they forget to close the door? He thoughtfor a second before shaking his head and taking the cleaning supplies with him to the bathroom.
Once he thought the day could not get messier, as he began cleaning the bathtub, he ended up slipping against the floor. The water from them opened shower head splashed all over him not sparing even Jackson's socks."Shi-!" He swore his heart stopped for a second before he hit the floor. Today was really not his day....
Once he looked up he noticed something, something that made his heart dropped down to his ankles. 'Well...fuck there goes my job' he thought as he say the key chain sliding down the drain along with his hopes and dreams.
A normal person would have already tried to find ways to get the key chain back, but not Jackson. He stayed on the floor staring into nothingness as he drowned in self- pity.
"I'm so fucking fired."
