Chapter 15
*Love and Lies *

"I...i-"Jaebum couldn't bring himself to say it. No matter how much he had promised himself that today is the day that he said the truth. Well maybe not the truth, but the real reason behind everything that happened in the past. Jackson saw how much trouble the older was having to let out his emotions. Jaebum hated to talk about his feelings more than anything in world, it made him feel a sense of weakness he didn't like very much so this was true torture for him.

"Hey. It's fine. I know everything that there's to know ...you don't need to explain it again. It must be very hard...having him so close. And I understand that. Whatever you need, I'm always here and he can't hurt you anymore, man. It's over. There's no need for you to give any further explanation since it isn't your fault, it was Yugyeom's choice not yours." Jackson said as he patted the other's hand above the table.

Except that was all...not true.

Jaebum sighed, and felt defeat as yet again he had failed to explain everything properly. If Yugyeom had been  right about one thing , it was that he truly was a coward. "Thank you...you're right." Was the only thing he managed to say before falling silent for a moment.

"So changing the subject, how has work been? " the older asked taking another sip for his drink.
"B-FINE! Everything is great! Why do you ask?!" Jackson answered quite alarmed,making Jaebum suspicious, and let out an 'okay..?'

Jaebum stared at the Younger for a few minutes and saw a light shade of pink across his cheeks, so he rather not question it any further since Jackson was clearly too embarrassed to talk about it at the moment.

Before the conversation went any further, Jackson's phone began ringing. It was his boss, the younger excused himself and walked outside, answering the phone call. He swallowed thickly before answering,"hello?"

"I-I'm sorry to bother you but i am freaking out and I have no idea who else to call." Mark said with obvious panic on his voice.

"What's wrong??!"Jackson almost shouted over the phone.

"I think I found the keys you lost...but unfortunately the bathroom started overflowing- I- help please." The older did a soft squeaky voice at the end of the sentence, as Jackson could hear him struggling to stop the water from coming out.
Why was everything bad happening in the bathrooms lately?

"Oh my...I'll be there soon! Try calling someone that can fix it while I get there." He said as he stopped the call and went back inside.

"Hey Jaebum-ah, Im so sorry but something really important came up at work and I have to leave." Jackson said and Jaebum nodded, "oh yeah of course."he said and Jackson ruffled his mid-long hair,"sorry I couldn't stay longer, and please call me if you need anything. I'm here for you." He said before taking his keys and walking outside, Jaebum kept a smile on his face until the younger left.

'I'm such a coward....'

In that moment his phone ranged and a text from an unknown number popped up.
