Three months later:

The past three months have been quiet. Maybe a bit too quiet for my liking. Tilly think it’s just some prick pulling a sick joke on us. It could be true, but that doesn’t explain how the hell they got my family picture. But lately, we’ve been slowly readjusting to our normal lives, but we are still on high alert. We can’t risk letting our guard down. People’s life are at risk. I stopped online school, because the stress of school and homework are just making me go over the edge. I’m already stressed out about the mystery person stalking us. Homework is the least of my concerns.

There was a quiet knock at my door before it creaked open, revealing my lovely cousin.

“What’s up, Ky?” I asked as I put down my phone.

“Cadence left her doll at the park. I was wondering if you can go get it for her while I make dinner?” Kylee smiled innocently at me as I sighed.

“Yeah, I’ll go get it. I’ll be back.” I said as I reached over to the nightstand and grabbed my car keys.

I went out to the garage and got into to my silver Ford. I started the engine and pulled away from the house.

I drove the five minutes to the park before parking in the parking lot. I got out of the car and stepped into the warm, humid atmosphere.

“Now where the hell is this doll?” I asked myself.

“There is no doll, mi amore.” A familiar deep voice with a thick Italian accent announced. (my love)

I turned around to see Damon in a black silk suit with a blue tie, gelled back hair and a playful smirk on his face.

“Damon?”

“Kinsey?”

“What’s this all about?”

“It’s a date, amore.” (love)

“Damon.”

“Hmm?”

“I’m in my pajamas.” Damon chuckled and walked towards me. When we were about a foot away from each other, Damon bent down and scooped me into his arms, bridal style.

“Damon! Let me go!” I shrieked.

“No can do, principessa.” Damon chuckled. (princess)

“Damon! I’m serious!”

“So am I, bella.” (beautiful)

Eventually, Damon put me down on a white and red checkered blanket. On it was a bottle of champagne, a wooden basket, and wine glasses.

“You’re so clique, Damon.” I giggled.

“I know. But so are you, so I guess we’re equal bambino.” (baby)

I grabbed a wine glass while Damon popped open the champagne bottle, pouring both of us a glass of the delicious liquid.

We clink our glasses together and take a sip. Damon then reaches over to the basket and pulls out containers full of fruit, vegetables, meats, and even a large container holding some strawberry cheesecake.

I looked over at Damon with a huge smile on my face. I launched myself into his chest and wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him into a tight embrace. Damon hugged me back with an equal amount of grip.

“This is amazing. No one’s ever done this for me before.” I whispered.

“Tu lo meriti, mia bella ragazza. Ti amo.” (You deserve it, my beautiful girl. I love you)

“I love you too.” I mumbled.

“You’re gonna have to get off me eventually, bambino. The food’s gonna get cold.” Damon chuckled. (baby)

I pulled away from him and sat back down on the blanket. Damon grabbed two plates and some silverware from the basket and started placing various of foods onto them. Damon gave me one of the plates and kept one for himself.

I started to eat the freshly cooked ham while taking a sip of champagne. The sun was starting to set and stars were appearing in the sky.

When we were done eating, we put the plates and leftovers in the basket and finished off our champagne before laying on the blanket and looking up at the stars.

We intertwined our fingers together while I laid my head on Damon’s shoulder.

We were talking about how some stars looked like a bird while others looked like a warrior dragon.

After about an hour of stargazing, we, more like Damon, packed up the stuff and walked over to the car. I gave him the keys, and we drove off towards the house.

The ride home was silent, but comfortable. When we pulled into the drive, we grabbed the stuff out of the trunk and made our way to the front door.

Damon slid his key into the door knob, but the door was surprisingly open. All of the lights were on and the house was empty. It’s ten P.M. Everyone should be sleeping. But why would they leave the door open and the lights on?

I dropped the basket and runned upstairs into the extra living room. I gasped and screamed.  My friends and family were knocked out except for Jordan and Cadence, who had ten people in black masks pointing guns at them. One person had their rifle pointed right at Jordan’s neck, while another was holding a screaming Cadence.

One person came towards me, stopping about two feet away from me.

“Kinsey, Damon! Run!” Jordan yelled, which made the person holding the gun press it harder against his neck.

“It was so nice for you to join us, Kinsey.” A familiar female voice said sarcastically.

Where have I heard that voice before?

The mystery woman pulled out a pistol from her holster and pointed it right at my forehead. The lady took off her mask and my eyes widened.

“A-Amber?”

“We were family, Kinsey. You betrayed your own kind. You let these filthy people kill your father, mother, cousin, uncle, and my own girlfriend!” Amber screamed.

“You were kidnapping and torturing my friends!” I screamed back.

“That was what we do, Kinsey. It was our job to hurt those who have hurt our family. But you chose to join the enemy. So I’ll let you make a choice. Either you come be apart of our family, so we kill these filthy hostages. Or you all come with us and die a slow and painful death.”

“I won’t let you kill them.” I said through gritted teeth.

“I guess we have to do this the hard way then.” She said just before she hit me with the back of her gun, knocking me out instantly.

A/N
In case you forgot who Amber was, here's the part where she was first introduced.

Valerie's P.O.V.

I walked around for a few minutes, but I kept my head down. I bumped into someone and fell down. "I-I'm s-so sorry." I said looking up to see a pretty girl. She had darker skin, light brown hair, and deep brown eyes. She also had a button nose and pursed lips. She had a little bit of eye makeup on that made her eyes stand out. She had a perfect body structure that any girl would want. She wore a white t-shirt with the words Bossy on it and a pair of dark blue jeans.

"Hey, it's okay. I'm not mad, accidents happen." She smiled. She held out her hand for me to take, and I took it. She helped me to my feet and smiled. "I'm Amber." She said, extending her hand out to shake mine. I shook it and smiled. This time, my smile was real. "I'm Valerie." I said. "I know who you are. I think everyone in this gang knows who you and your brother are." I kept quiet and she kept talking. "Anyways, I know this might all seem hard on you, but once you get used to it and the people, it's fine." She shrugged. "Well, I have something to do, but if you need anything, I'm three rooms down from yours." Amber smiled and she left.
