"Okay, well I'm bored."

"Me too," Alex said awkwardly. He still couldn't get over the fact that John was his soulmate, but that's not the matter at hand. The two had tried to talk about their lives, but that fell through quick. Turns out they know a lot more about each other than they thought: they just had to fill in some blanks. The two had been staring at the ceiling for about five minutes, the tension surrounding them thick and ongoing.

Alex turned towards Eliza, frozen with a smile on her face and an excited glow in her eyes, and Alexander felt like he was about to cry. "What were you planning on doing with her today?"

Alexander noticed that he had been staring at Eliza, his Eliza, for a while. He looked over at John. He had to admit, John was handsome. Beautiful eyes, enchanting eyes, really, and splatters of freckles on his face. And he had curly hair. Curly hair was nice. But, Alexander just... he's been with Eliza for so long he couldn't see himself with anyone else. "Shops, aquarium, dinner, and end the day at the beach. In that order."

"The beach? It's freezing out Alex."

"She wanted to go. And I did too." Alexander folded his arms over his chest. John stood.

"Well, lets go." John walked over to the door, grabbing his thick winter jacket and pulling on his boots. Alexander stood and went after him.

"Go where?"

"Shops, aquarium, dinner, and end the day at the beach, in that order, just like you said." John opened the door. Alexander glanced back at Eliza.

"Well, wait up!"

Alexander stumbled a bit on the melting snow, catching himself in John's arm. "Sorry," he said, standing up straighter and pulling his hand away from John's arm. It didn't feel right yet.

"It's fine, Alex," John laughed slightly, "calm down a bit." Alexander just mumbled a reply, which made John sigh. "Okay. So, talking about our lives directly didn't work. This is another way to get to know each other. It'll work out in the end."

"Maybe."

"You're such a Debby downer," John huffed, stuffing his gloved hands into his pockets. "We're here." The two stood in front of the mall, just staring at it. "Well?" John asked. Alexander walked into the mall, John not far behind him. The mall, thank god, had a heater on.

"Eliza was hoping it would be warm out today." John didn't reply, he just took off his jacket and tied it around his waist. Alexander followed suit, and the two walked around in an awkward silence.

"Why did you want to go shopping, anyway?"

"Eliza loves shopping. I want to make sure she's happy." John hummed, a strange look crossing over his face for a split second. It was gone as soon as it had appeared, and Alexander soon forgot about it. They passed by many stores, none of which they wanted to go into.

"Well, this is kind of boring," John said.

"Yeah, it is." The two sat down on a bench outside of a clothing store. There were a few people in there, most of them looking lovingly into each others eyes. That should've been him and Eliza. He should've been with Eliza.

No offense, John.

"Let's move on to the next thing in the list."

"Uh... okay," Alexander mumbled.

"Are you sure you want to go to the aquarium?" Alexander cocked his head slightly.

"Yeah. Why wouldn't I want to?" John hummed in response.

"I don't know. Let's go." The aquarium wasn't far from the mall, which is probably why Eliza suggested it. She's wanted to go to the aquarium with Alexander for forever, it was where they went on their first date, but they never found the time. And now she wasn't even here to go with. Anyway, it was about a five minute walk away, so it wouldn't be to long or too awkward or anything.

Hopefully.
