Nero lifts his sword and slashes the last of a small group of demons which tried to lead the trio into a trap.
"Damn, these things don't rest, huh", The male sighs as he walks back to the van where Nico leans out the window. "We're getting closer", She says after swallowing the smoke of her cigarette.
"And she's awake."

Nero's face lights up and he immediately enters the van to check on his beloved Y/n.
She's awake, just like Nico said, but she looks rather troubled than well rested.
As the girl spots the male she tip toes over and hugs him.
Y/n buries her face into his hard chest. "You said whenever I'm troubled I could hug you", She says. "Of course. What's wrong?"
Both sit down on the couch and so Y/n starts to speak.
"I've just been wondering about my mother. I don't know what's currently going on over there, you know?"
A gentle smile appears on Nero's lips and he wraps his arms around the fragile girl next to him.
"I'm sure everything's fine. Maybe Urizen can tell you more."
"I hope so."

After almost an hour of driving the trio finally reaches the root of the Qliphoth.
Nero and Y/n exit the van to take a closer look. "This is it", She says going near the entrance. "Looks like it. No demons here, almost seems suspicious."
"Let's not worry about that."
Y/n returns to the van to grab her things.

"Oh, by the way, Y/n! I put a few extra features onto your phone in the last few days. I hope you don't mind", Nico says before Y/n leaves the car with a small backpack.
"Thanks, Nico. I owe you one."
"I'll keep that in mind."
After wishing each other farewell Y/n goes back outside to Nero who is on guard in case demons come out of nowhere to attack them.
"So?"
"Nothing here. Inside it's probably swarming with those pests."
Y/n slides her fingers between Nero's causing him to blush at the sudden touch.

"It'll be fine", She says with a gentle smile.

Hand in hand the couple enters the Qliphoth which doors close behind them.
An almost torturing yet familiar smell crawls up Y/n's nostrils making her frown. "The smell definitely hasn't changed", She says and Nero agrees.
Both start to walk along the path in front of them which seems very easy to follow since there are almost no partings.
Together they fight themselves up to the top of the Qliphoth until they reach the entrance of Urizen's throne hall.

A deep sigh escapes Y/n's lips as she looks inside.
"Are you sure I shouldn't come with you", Nero asks with his hand around the handle of his sword. "Yes, I'm absolutely sure."
She gives Nero a reassuring smile and a light kiss onto his pink lips.
"It'll be alright."
Nero leans his forehead against Y/n's not wanting to let her go to the demon that's destroying the city and killing millions of people.

Y/n frees herself out of Nero's tight grasp and enters the hunter's hall like prey just waiting to be caught.
"I see you have returned", Urizen says as he spots the h/c girl.
"Yea."
"What an honor-"
"Okay, douchebag", Y/n says stomping towards the demon king.
"Tell me the truth!" A chuckle escapes Urizen's lips as he leans forward in his throne of flesh.
"How interesting. A fowl human like you wishes to know its purpose."
"Shut up, wanna-know-it-all. I still want to know why it was me you brought here and for what reason. If you wanted a spy, well, I'm the wrong person for that job!"

A short silence fills the hall and Y/n gulps.
She's constantly raising her voice against a demon that could instantly kill her by a wave of his arm.
"So? I'm waiting!" With anger controlling her expression the teen crosses her arms in front of her chest.

"Maybe I should show you."
Urizen waves his hand from up to down and left to right. Then suddenly a portal appears.
It just looks like in the game and like the portal that brought Y/n here.
"Nice trick but not overwhelming", She says with a raised eyebrow and her head cocked to the side to provoke the demon king.
"How is that supposed to give me answers, jackass?"
"Go into the portal and you will find the answers to your questions."

Y/n just stands there in the same position going back and forth with her head towards the portal and Urizen.
"If this is some kind of joke-"
"No... jokes."

Suddenly a hand lays onto Y/n's shoulder. As she looks up she sees her boyfriend Nero who silently joined the two.
"Give her what she wants."
"And why should I listen to you, puny human?"
Y/n turns to Nero. "What the hell are you doing? I told you to stay outside."
"If that fucker doesn't give you what you want then I'll have to beat it out of him."
The girl puts her hands on Nero's chest in order to hold him back.
"He's not worth your energy."

"How oddly boring and time wasting."
Urizen snaps his fingers and a sudden force starts to pull onto Y/n's body.
Nero notices and grabs her arms. "What the hell is happening", He asks.
"I don't know. This happened when I was pulled into-" Now realization hits the teen.

She's being pulled into the portal that leads to who knows where.
"Nero, don't let go", She yells. The male's grip grows tighter as Y/n's feet lift up from the ground. She notices how the force starts to drag Nero towards the portal as well.
"No, I won't let you go like this!"
With all the power he has Nero tries to hold Y/n who has her arms wrapped around his neck. "Nero, please-"
"I won't let you go! Y/n, I promise."
A tear rolls down his red cheek.

"Nero, I'm sorry." The male looks up into Y/n's watery orbs.
She closes the gap between them and kisses him on his lips before freeing herself out of his grip and letting go.

Nero tries to grab her hand and yells the girl's name multiple times until she has completely vanished in the darkness of the portal.
"Y/n, no", He yells one last time falling onto his knees.
"You!" His gaze shifts to Urizen who sits on his throne rather satisfied with his actions.
"You, bastard! Bring her back!"
"I'm afraid I won't do that", Urizen says leaning back into his throne.
"She's in good hands."
"You asshole! I'll show you!"

Nero jumps up, grabs his sword and sprints towards the demon to kill him once and for all.
With a wave of his hand Urizen sends the young male out of the hall and right in front of Nico's feet.
"Oh my god, what the frick", She yells as she notices who it is.
"Nero, what happened! I wanted to catch up with y'all!"
Nero sits up while groaning in pain.
Tears still stream down his cheeks.
"She's gone", He says.
"What? Who?"
"Y/n! She's gone!"

Nico's eyes widen. She tries to say something but a cat caught her tongue.
The only thing she can think of is bringing Nero into her arms and hugging him tightly.
She didn't even get to say goodbye.
