(AIDEN'S POV)

Yet again I awoke in the same place. I was beginning to think I'd be stuck here forever, I mean, what will it take to get out of this place? Usually, I would ask Grace but seeing as she's gone, I don't know what I'm going to do. I'm getting seriously mixed feelings with Kit, but none of this is real anyway so I guess I just had to get over it.

I get up with a stretch and a yawn and make my way to the common room as I ruffle my brown locks, entering through the door.

"Morning, you." Kit says whilst greeting me with a smile and I twiddle my fingers behind my back. "We're on kitchen duty today." he continues

"Great!" I say in a sarcastic way. It wasn't because it was with kit, it was just kitchen duty for christ's sake!

He holds out his hand and I take it. We exit the common room together walking down to the kitchen with our hands still attached.

Cut to hours later, my hands were absolutely killing. All-day we just pressed and pulled the dough and to make it worse, Kit was on the other side of the kitchen, but even that didn't stop him from smiling at me, every second.

Every time I'd glance at his gorgeous face he would pull a stupid expression and I would have to cough to cover my laugh. He mouthed "you look beautiful." and I blushed heavily, mouthing an embarrassed "shut up." back.

We silently played charades when the nun wasn't looking and we both almost burst out laughing when I accidentally spat into the lump of dough on my cutting board while impatiently mouthing the movie that he just couldn't seem to work out.

Everyone got to go, but of course, I and Kit were made to finish off everyone's work, because the giggling didn't go unnoticed.

"Okay, you two have thirty minutes to finish. If not- we'll you know how it works." She huffed as she made her way out, leaving me and Kit alone. We begin to make the dough and I grabbed a hand full of flour, but not for the dough...

I smirk as I lob the handful of flour in Kit's face. He stands startled for a minute, until he gets an idea and throws a handful back, finishing the job off by cracking an egg on my head.

"Kit!" I scream playfully, laughing my head off. Until the egg falls into my eye and I can't see anything. "I can't see." I begin to say seriously, to the boy.

Just then I feel two hands slide up the back of my thighs and lift me up. I'm delicately put down on the table and I hear the tap running from the corner of the room. I flinched at what appeared to be a wet cloth wiping my face.

When I could finally open my eyes, I saw kit making sure he got each bit of flour and egg off whilst standing between my legs. He tucks a piece of hair behind my ear to get a bit that was on my temple and we make eye contact. He does the exact same lip tug once again whilst his hand strays to rest on my cheek. I couldn't help but blush.

He snaps back in reality quickly, before anything could happen.

"We should really do this before we get into trouble." he hesitantly says. "Agreed." I breathed out as he steps back and helps me off. We continued our duty and were dismissed 20 minutes later.

I couldn't help but think about what could've happened if everything was different. If grace hadn't passed, if Lana wasn't so mean. If kit and I never clicked. I felt bad at times, he loved grace. Although a big part of me wanted him to like me.....
