White Day

Hiro's POV

It had been about a week since the school ball, and White Day was coming up fast. Since the dance, Zero Two and I had started dating; and I couldn't be happier. Now that I knew what my past was like with her, I felt complete; like I had nothing missing from my life.

Zero Two: "Da-arling!" Zero Two called out, poking me in the chest.

Hiro: "O-oh sorry!" I exclaimed, staring at her emerald eyes.

We were laying on the grass, surrounded by the cherry blossom trees, as they bloomed. The rest of the gang were near the river that ran through the school and was frolicking around in the water. Taking in a deep breath, I smiled at Zero Two who, in turn, leaned in to kiss me.

Hiro: "Hey, what're we doing for White Day?" I asked, interlocking my fingers with hers.

Zero Two: "I don't know really...it's the first time I've ever spent it with someone." Zero Two admitted.

Thinking about my family, I remembered something. Grasping her hands in the air, I smiled as I spoke.

Hiro: "Well...why don't we go into the city together, we could meet each other's parents." I suggested.

To my surprise, Zero Two was completely on board with the idea and shook a little in excitement.

Zero Two: "Of course I want to meet your parents! I can't wait!" She admitted, whilst a wide grin was being plastered on her face.

At this moment, her phone rang. Picking it up, her face grew from a grin; to an outright face of love.

Zero Two: "Mama! How've you been?" She exclaimed, looking up at the sky.

I heard a voice similar to Zero Two's on the phone as they spoke.

???: "I've been great dear, I'm heading home from France this week for White Day, do you want to do something special for the occasion?" The voice asked.

Zero Two: "We could..." Zero Two replied, circling the grass with her index finger. "But I have one request!" She then blurted.

???: "Oh? And what's that?" The voice asked, in a goading way.

Zero Two: "Do you remember that boy from my childhood?" Zero Two asked.

???: "You mean...Hiro, isn't that right?" The voice wondered, sounding like she was trying to multitask.

Zero Two: "Yes, him. I found him again at school, and now we're dating!" She exclaimed, smiling with a few tears in her eyes.

Hiro: I didn't know that was how strongly she felt for me...I thought, holding her hand.

???: "Well that's just wonderful! Congratulations dear!" The voice exclaimed. "I'm assuming you want to do something that includes him as well?" The voice asked.

Zero Two: "Well...yes..." Zero Two admitted, blushing a little.

???: "And I'm assuming you and I are to meet his parents?" The voice then concluded.

Zero Two: "Y-yes..." Zero Two answered, her face becoming more sheepish by the second.

???: "I can't wait for honey! I want to see how much Hiro's changed since I last saw him! You know he's the one who gave you your nickname." She exclaimed.

Hearing this, another memory came back to me. Zero Two and I were drawing at her house, and that was when she told me her birthday.

Young Hiro: "February huh? I guess I should just call you Zero Two! For the number of the month right?" I remembered.

Young Zero Two: "Yep!" I remembered her saying.

As I came back to reality, I saw the gang heading over to us, as Zero Two leaned in to hug me.

Zero Two: "You hear that darling? The plan's all set!" She exclaimed, blushing.

I blushed accordingly as I felt the reality hit me. This was when the gang finally walked up to us.

Goro: "Yo! What're you lovebirds doing?" Goro shouted, holding hands with Ichigo.

After the dance Goro and Ichigo disappeared from us and, by the time we found them, they were by the cherry blossom tree. The two had started to date, and I don't think I'd ever seen Ichigo so happy.

Ichigo: "You can't do that in public Zero Two!" Ichigo exclaimed, her face blushing.

Ikuno: "You're too pure Ichigo." Ikuno interjected, giggling a little.

Kokoro: "That is so true!" Kokoro agreed.

Many of us were now dating after the dance, and we had reached a new high in our mood. We all had agreed afterwards that we would take a break from seeing one another, as we all wanted to spend time with our other halves on White Day.

Mitsuru: "You know Hiro..." Mitsuru sighed as we sat on one of the benches outside of an ice-cream parlour. "I'm really glad I met Kokoro and the rest of the gang, I used to be so shut-in." He then added.

Hiro: "You've got that right. There were times which we didn't even see you!" I chuckled.

Mitsuru: "Yeah..." Mitsuru sighed.

Kokoro then appeared with two ice-cream crepes in hand.

Kokoro: "You need to eat up Mitsuru! We've got a lot planned for this weekend so you need all the energy you can get!" Kokoro explained, handing the crepe to Mitsuru.

Looking behind her, I could see Zero Two and Miku marvelling at each other's crepes. They were stuffed full to the brim with ice-cream and other sweets. I laughed, as Zero Two walked up to me with my crepe.

Zero Two: "For you...da-arling!" She offered, in a maid like voice.

Hiro: "Thank you very much, dear" I replied, in a butlers type tone.

Zero Two: "I love you..." Zero Two then exclaimed.

Hiro: "I love you too..." I replied, holding her hands.
