Welcome Home, Darling

Months had flashed by us since the party at my house. In that time, Zero Two and I had moved away from home; and into Central Tokyo. I was also attending Tokyo University, my first-choice in the college arena. As the months flew us by, Zero Two slowly began to get larger in size as the baby inside her grew. Unsurprisingly for everyone, Zero Two also had begun to attend Tokyo University with me; making it known that we were a couple through and through,

Goro: "She's really doing a number on us all isn't she?" Goro sighed, as we sat in our apartment together, "I mean, we only left high school no too long ago..." He added, as Ichigo and Zero Two chatted about the baby,

Hiro: "Yeah..." I murmured, imagining Zero Two's smile again, "It's nice though, to live this kind of life with her." I then spoke, as I caught her gaze,

Zero Two: "Hm? Is something wrong darling?" She asked, as I shook my head and smiled, 

Hiro: "No, nothing could be wrong anymore..." I sighed, to which a small smile and blush appeared on her face,

Zero Two: "I have a surprise for you all~" She giggled, pulling out a small file, "I found out their genders!" She exclaimed, to which the word 'genders' struck me as profound,

Ichigo: "G-Genders?" Ichigo exclaimed, looking at the file, "That means...you have...twins?" She then questioned, making my heart jump,

Zero Two: "Yes...twins...darling was a bit too rough that he put two inside me~" She giggled, placing her hands on her stomach, 

Hiro: "No way..." I exclaimed, looking at my wallet, "I'll have to get another job then..." I murmured, as the others laughed, 

The days soon began passing again like the wind, with the others taking up residence in our little high-rise home every now and then. Zero Two began to also get larger as the other baby inside her grew healthily, even the professor's began to take notice,

Professor: "You know Hiro, if you need to, we have an online course that I can sign you up for." My professor explained, looking at Zero Two sitting uncomfortably in the seminar chair, "I understand the feeling of becoming a Father, so please, take your time with this one." He explained, forcing a sigh out of me,

Hiro: "Sorry for causing you so much trouble, sir." I apologized, bowing in thanks as he smiled, 

Professor: "That reminds me, do you know a woman by the name of Nana?" The man asked, making me turn in my tracks, "She was your high school homeroom teacher, right?" He then questioned, smiling a little, "She's my daughter you see." He revealed, beaming at the small baby pictures at her, 

Smiling sheepishly at this, I took Zero Two's hand and we then walked home together. Getting home, and setting up for the online courses, Zero Two sighed as she sat down on the sofa carefully. Looking out to the city skyline she smiled as she turned to me,

Zero Two: "I never told you how I found you did I?" Zero Two then spoke, catching my attention,

Hiro: "Oh? Well then, how'd you know it was me?" I asked, sitting on the sofa next to her, 

Zero Two: "I've been looking for you since we were born, and before that." Zero Two explained, pulling out a small photo, 

It was of all of the gang, including Zero Two and I. However, there were large mech-like robots surrounding us, along with a torched earth around us. Zero Two was wearing a red dress, while the other's; including me, wore a simple grey uniform. Looking closer, the horns on Zero Two's head seemed more real by the second,

Zero Two: "I've been searching the star's for you...my darling." Zero Two exclaimed, pointing to my forehead, "Look..." She then whispered, taking off her head band to reveal real horns,

Hiro: "Zero...Two..." I sighed, feeling my forehead, only to find a pair of small horns growing,

Zero Two: "The other's may not remember us, or what we did..." Zero Two began, placing her hand on her stomach again, "But, I prefer it here...on this Earth, this Earth; which is lush, green, and vibrant." She continued, "A world, where you and I exist together, as one." She finally sighed, as I looked at the photo, 

Hiro: "So...we're not human then." I presumed, to which she smiled, 

Zero Two: "I always asked that question...often asking Ichigo and the others, 'what is human to you people?'" She giggled, before turning to me and kissing me lightly, "Until I met you, darling." She then whispered, as I smiled,

Hiro: "Well, my wings exist for you, I'm your partner; so I'm never going to leave you alone." I explained, words which seemed to hit home for Zero Two; as tears began to erupt from her eyes, "O-Oh, I'm sorry! I didn-" I began, as she kissed me again, 

Zero Two: "Maybe this will clear your memory." She sobbed, pressing her horns against mine,

In that moment, I felt something rushing through me. Different emotions, scenes, and feelings coursed through my veins as we became one. Our first kiss, in that world, to our first time together in bed, to our fight with the so-called VIRM. All of these memories flooded my mind as she pressed her horns to mine,

Zero Two: "So darling...do you finally remember?" Zero Two then asked, as tears began streaming from my eyes, 

Hiro: "You...how long have I...?" I asked, the memories of the old Hiro taking over the present, "How long have you been waiting for me, Iota?" I sobbed, as she smiled,

Zero Two: "I've travelled the galaxies...the stars...the infinite universe to find you darling." She explained, "Even if I told you that I had waited centuries for this...it would be a lie...I've been waiting millennia's for you, time that I would still use to wait for you." She continued, "I've flown to the ends of the universe to find you...starting it over again for you." She sighed, "Now that we're here..." She then began,

Hiro: "Let's pick up where we left off...darling."
