The Payment [L&H S.1]

Prologue

Mr. Ryu Taejeong was doubting whether he’ll knock at the door or just directly open the door. He don’t know who were inside that room, so he choose the first option. After he knock, he slowly open the door.

There, inside the CEO’s office was the three sons of the Kim.

The eldest son, KIM JAEJOONG, prominently setting at the swivel chair wearing his poker face. Then next to him was the second son, KIM MYUNGSOO, standing while his eyes are focus on the documents he was reading with. And the youngest son, KIM TAEHYUNG, whose eyes were focus on the busy streets from the glass window of the office.

He was a bit surprise seeing the three altogether. It was rare, since Jaejoong was busy importing the products of the company, then Myungsoo was heard to be at the Philippines because of the family owned ranch; and lastly, Taehyung was still studying.

“Don’t look surprise to see us, Mr. Ryu.” Jaejoong said. He motion his hands. “Have a sit.”

From the documents, Myungsoo diverted his gaze at the 41 years old man. With a grim face.

“It is been a month since Jaejoong-hyung officially act as a president of this company, Mr. Ryu. Basing from your expression earlier, you didn’t bother to look at the notice note that my secretary left for you.”

It is been known that Mr. Kim will retire soon in the business but he didn’t know that’ll it come soon. Too soon that he forgot to pay his debt.

Mr. Ryu had been a good friend to their father, they can’t deny that. Even their father let Mr. Ryu borrow a big sum of money for the man’s business but sadly it is not a success. They don’t care whether the man will pay that money or his business is a failure.

“We know how close you are to our father, Mr. Ryu.” After a long silence, Jaejoong added, “We wouldn’t care if you won’t pay the money our father lend to you.”

It is already been two months since Mr. Kim retired from the business, and it is Jaejoong who got the position which is he deserve it for his hardwork.

The man sigh in relief after hearing it. In fact he is a bit nervous, he didn’t know why he was called. He just receive the notice just a week ago.

“But.” Jaejoong stand up and took the documents that Myungsoo was reading. “But we do care about this matter, embezzling the company’s money.”

The man froze in shame and tries to hide it. “That wasn’t true, sir.”

Jeajoong shows the documents. “These are the evidences. This documents shows how you kept the money and how you used it for your new business which is a total failure, AGAIN.”

“We can file a case for this, Mr. Ryu, but we didn’t do it because we respect your friendship with our dad.” Myungsoo added, “And if you think how we know it? It is just simple. Your team earns the least. So we investigated it.”

“Please sir, don’t tell anyone about this.” The man pleaded. “And please don’t file a case. My family needs me.”

“Your family needs you but you did a wrong thing.” It was Taehyung. “What do you think your family will feel if they’ll know about this? Do you think they will be proud of you?”

Jaejoong sigh. His brother had a point. “Don’t worry, Mr. Ryu, only the four of us knows about this. Now let’s discuss how can you pay the money?”

“I have a property at Incheon, sir. I can use it as a payment.”

“We already see through it, Mr. Ryu.” Myungsoo said. “But that property of yours at Incheon didn’t even cost the ¼ of the money you embezzled.”

He thinks deeply again. He can’t think of anything. And then again, his precious. From his wallet he took it.

“Here, this is my payment.”

The two brothers smirk and then they both glance at their younger brother, “Take care of the payment. We will legalized this matter with Mr. Ryu.”

Taehyung took the payment and stare at it for a moment.
