Chapter 2

She’s been dialing Yein’s number but the number is out of coverage area. Sujeong receive a message from her an hour ago that she’ll be out of town!

“Yein! Answer the phone!”

She’s really is worried for her friend and also to the party. This is the day of the party and she will attend it since her father left her and went to Philippines. She’s hoping that Yein will attend too because she has an invitation too, but now, her friend is out of town.
Sujeong hurriedly got her phone when it rings.

Lee Jangjun calling . . . . .

With a sigh, she answer the call. She haven’t told him that she won’t be around for their date.

“Sujeongie~”

“Jangjun-ah.”

“Since today is our date, can you come with me to attend a party?”

“You’re attending a party?”

“Yup.”

“What kind of event? Who invited you?”

“The invitation came from the KIM’s. Now, can you come with me?”

Without hesitation, she said yes!

Jangjun is the answer to her prayer. She won’t be alone at the party. She took the invitation card at the side table and read it.

You are highly invited, Miss Ryu.

She blink twice and read again the card.

You are highly invited, Miss Ryu.

It is really a ‘miss’. How come? She thought that the invitation was for her father. She tried remembering what her father told her.

“Sujeong, you attend this event with my presence.”

“Did this family knows that Dad had a daughter?” she murmurs to herself.

She wasn’t expose to anyone else as Mr. Ryu Taejeong’s daughter because they are not that rich and her mother was once a dancer in a club which was after giving her birth left them for another rich man.

“I wouldn’t mind, maybe this is a typo. They thought my father is a woman.”

Sujeong was amaze when she and Jangjun got their entrance. The party is splendidly beautiful. From the interior designs and to the buffet. You can tell that behind this party is really a rich person.

“What was this party about?” she asked Jangjun. “Does my dress even fit for this event?”

The people wearing expensive gown, while her? She look at herself, she’s only wearing a simple black dress.

“Welcome party for the new partnership of the Kim and Lee.”

She never thought that she will be attending this kind of party, not even in her wildest dream.

They were whispering at each other when someone went to their place and greeted them.

“Hi, Jangjun. Enjoying the party? Where is your father?” a guy asked her partner.

Base from his looks, he is drop-dead-gorgeous. And his age seems he is in his mid 20’s.

“Hello too, Mr. Kim Myungsoo.” Jangjun greeted back. “Father is a bit busy, today. So by his presence, I attended this party.”

The man named Myungsoo, glance at her and give her a smile showing his dimple. “And who is this pretty lady beside you?”

She smile at him as a respect. “Her name is Ryu Sujeong.”

“Oh!” the man was a bit shock.

“Daughter of Mr. Ryu, right?”

“Yes.” She replied. “My father work at your company, sir.”

“I know.” He paused and give her a meaningful smile. “You are more beautiful in personal, Miss Ryu.” Before the man left them he said, “Enjoy the party. Especially you, Miss Ryu. I hope this is your memorable event.”

“Who was he?”

“He is the Vice-president of the company and one of the son of the Kims.”

Few minutes later the lights suddenly turns off. The spotlight was at the center.

“Today, we will welcome the CEO of the KIM CEMENT and KIM Hotel & Restaurant, MR. KIM JAEJOONG!”

A loud clap was heard around the crowd as a man walk at the center with a microphone.

He is as handsome as Mr. Kim Myungsoo. No wonder why the KIM brothers are popular. They had the looks, the fame and the money. Sujeong suddenly imagining the face of the youngest son. She heard that Mr. Kim had three son.

“Good evening, everyone! Today is the welcome party as the partnership of the two big companies, I hope you enjoy this party. First of all, I would like to say thank you to Mr. Lee HoWon for trusting our company for the partnership with the LEE STEEL. Second, to my family for their never ending supports. Especially to my father and siblings.” With that, Jaejoong made his exit.

Next to him who made a speech is the second son. “Thank you dear brother for that short speech of yours.” Myungsoo said.

His eyes were in the crowd, searching for someone. “And for the highlight of this event, I would like to announce to all of you the engagement of my baby brother, Kim Taehyung!”

A young man elegantly made his entrance. All eyes were on him, especially Sujeong. The face of the man is very familiar to her! She somewhat saw him around.

Just like his two older brothers, this young man is handsome in his own way.

“Stop calling me baby brother. I’m not a baby anymore.” His voice is deep.

Myungsoo just smile at his brother. “Don’t act like a man, you’re still my baby brother.” He pause. “And of course, the fiancée of my brother.”

He glance at Taehyung. “Now, get your partner around the crowd.”

“What? Why do I have to pick her? Call her. Announce her name. I’m tired to walk around the crowd.”

Arrogant. A word that describe Taehyung’s attitude, for Sujeong’s opinion only. He’ll bring disaster and problem to his fiancée.

“Okay. I’ll call her now. Just don’t be grumpy.”

Again, Myungsoo’s eyes are around the crowd. Searching for someone. Sujeong’s heart leap when she meet his gaze. Those pretty eyes, indeed can make a girl’s heart melt.

“RYU SUJEONG!”
