The Payment [L&H S.1]

Chapter 9

"Sujeong, where do you want to go today?" Taehyung asks while his eyes were fix on the road.

"In just a nearby coffee shop." She simply reply.

"Okay. I'll drop you there. But I can't promise that I'll fetch you later. I'm going somewhere."

Yeah. With Yuju. She wants to reply but remain silent.

"I can't accompany you, Sujeong."

"It's fine, Taehyung. I already texted my friend."

Sujeong don't know why she's acting like being a jealous fiancee. She had no right to be jealous since she is only a payment. But she expect a total fidelity in their relationship. They're not yet married, and now Taehyung is seeing another girl.

Taehyung just drop her at the Coffee Bay near at the Lee Steel Company.

"Text me when you got home." Then he planted a soft kiss on her forehead before driving.

Sujeong got her entrance, and look around inside the Coffee Bay. There, a man wearing a simple shirt, Lee Jangjun, sipping his own coffee.

"Hi there." She then sit at the vacant sit near Jangjun.

"I saw the kiss. What is your real score with Taehyung? You even didn't reply on my texts and never answer my calls." Jangjun said. Bitterness on his voice.

"That announcement is real." She only said.

"Then, what about me?" He asked.

"We can be friends."

"What?" Shock was written all over his face. "Friends? Are you kidding me?"

"No, I'm not joking around Lee Jangjun. I never intended to hurt you this way, but we have to cut our connection to each other."

"But I love you." He then hold her right hand which was on the table. "Are you really sure that you are his fiancee? You don't have a ring with you."

Sujeong took her hands away from him. "I forgot to wear it."

Though in reality, Taehyung never give her an engagement ring. She just have to lie.

But pushing Jangjun away, makes her heart hurt. Knowing that Taehyung and a certain girl named Yuju in which she haven't seen yet, will meet today. And of course that is the other reason why she meet Jangjun today.

"Really?" Jangjun asked. Staring intently at her face. Examining her facial expression. "But base from your looks today, you don't look happy being engage to him."

"I am still trying to cope up with everything." She simply reply.

Then a waiter came, asking for her order. After a few minutes, the waiter went to another table asking for orders.

"Why? Is Taehyung hurting you?"

"Nope. He's not." She reply. Well, we almost did it. She wanted to add but remain silent.

"Jangjun, I need your help."

"My friend saw you at the Coffee Bay with a guy." Taehyung said.

Sujeong just roll her eyes. After her talk with Jangjun, she head directly went home.

She's been hurt thinking that Taehyung went somewhere to meet Yuju. Though her appearance and role in Taehyung's life remain a mystery to Sujeong. She wanted to ask about Yuju but she opted not to. Taehyung might misinterpret it.

"He is just a friend to me." And she was able to went out the room, when Taehyung holds her wrist.

"I'm still talking to you, Ryu Sujeong."

She harshly let go of her wrist from his grip and glare at him. "This talk bores me."

He smirks. "Really? Then what my princess wants to do now? You want us to do that unfinished business of ours?"

Instead of being humiliated, it add fuel to her burning anger. Thinking that he went to Yuju.

"Well, do it to Yuju instead. Not to me. Because I am not interested!"

Taehyung's brow knot in curiosity. "Yuju? Why she was enter in our conversation? Perhaps, are you jealous?"

"Jealous? I'm not. As your fiancee, I expect total fidelity in this relationship although I AM JUST TRAP IN THIS SITUATION BEING A PAYMENT TO MY FATHER'S DEPT!" she shouted.

Sujeong wouldn't care less if the maids will hear it. Besides, that is the truth.

"And me too, I expect it from you."

"Then stop seeing Yuju. So I won't doubt you on having an affair."

Taehyung smirk. "Really? I think it doesn't matter to you. She is just a friend of mine."

"Yeah, a friend in  . . . . . . Bed perhaps?"

Just a glimpse, Taehyung is holding her neck, trying to choke her.

Sujeong's eyes grew in wide. She was shock. Who wouldn't? She didn't expect that Taehyung will choke her just because of Yuju.

"You don't know anything between us, Ryu Sujeong."

Taehyung's grip tighten as Sujeong lost consciousness. And that made him back to his senses. He hurt Sujeong.

MEANWHILE . . . . . . . .

"Yuju, why did you keep seeing Taehyung?" Her recent boyfriend asked.

Yuju continue eating her chips before glancing at him. "Well, you keep seeing his fiancee, too?"

"I am just trying to help her."

"Help? By flirting you, Lee Jangjun?"

"She's not flirting with me." He reply. "I am just doing what you asked me. To flirt with her."

Yuju give a fake laugh. "Damn those two. They were in denial stage, Jangjun-ie. They really need our help."
