Chapter 1

“I didn’t know that you accept Jangjun’s offer!” Jeong Yein, her bestfriend exclaim.

Lee Jangjun, son of one of the top businessman in the business world, just asked Ryu Sujeong to have a date.

“Now you know it.” She replied.

“But why?” Yein was intrigued. “I thought you hate dating.”

Boys swoon over Sujeong. Many guys asked her out before.

First. Lee Daeyeol, a varsity player in the school, asked her for a date but the next day she heard he was hospitalized. She went to visit him but she's not allowed to enter. The next day, Daeyeol keeps avoiding her.

Second. Kim Mingyu, the so-callee heartthrob in school asked her too. But ditched her on the day of their date. He explained the next day why he didn't show up, telling her that he is playing to her. She can see a small bruise on his lips.

Third. Choi Seongcheol. The top student on their class. He may not be as rich but he is hardworking but the next day, he is avoiding her. He confronted her that because of her he lost his part-time. But now, he is currently working at HoJi as a bartender.

And so many guys. She's wondering why the hell they're all avoiding her after asking her out.

“Changing of thoughts.” She simply replied, “He is a good guy afterall.”

“But he is heard to be dating with Yoojung!”

Sujeong stops from walking and face her. “That was before, they broke up already. And stop acting like my dad, Yein.”

Her friend rolled her eyes. “I am just concern. This is not the first time you accept a suitor. And I’m afraid that he will have a change of hearts just like the other guy did to you.”

“Well, he is different.”

“Okay. If that’s what you believe.”

Jangjun is different. When Jangjun asked her out, she didn't say yes directly. She waited for few days if he will avoid her just like the previous guys, but after a week, he is still the same. He keeps following her. That's why she fall for him.

The girls went to the nearby café to have some drinks.

Yein and Sujeong were friends since Yein became her neighbor. They’re like siblings. She knows all her friends' secret.

While chatting, Yein remember something. “I got an invitation.”

From her bag, she took a pink envelope. “Here. I think your family receive this too.”

Sujeong brightened after seeing the invitation. “Since your real grandfather had been looking up for you, you receive a lots of invitation from any party.”

“Yeah. They know my name but not my identity. I am afraid to show up.”

“By the way, how did you got that invitation?”

“From Jungkook, my private guard.” Yein reply as she sip her coffee. “And I don’t know how he knows this.”

“He was hired maybe from your granddad to find you.”

From Yein’s back, she notice someone. Well, she’s been seeing that guy since last week. As if like stalking her. He is damn good-looking to be called stalker.

“He is handsome.” Yein commented.

She was back at her senses. And focus at her drink. “You know him?”

Yein smile. “Nope. But base from his looks, he is handsome.”

“I am more handsome than his!”

Out of nowhere, JEON JUNGKOOK pop out.

“Here comes your beloved.”

Sujeong commented. “And I better take my exit now.”

When Sujeong reach the house, Yein was right, her father got an invitation too. This is a business related party again.

“Sujeong, you attend this event with my presence.” Mr. Ryu said to her daughter.

“Dad, you know that I don’t know not even a single person at that event. And besides, that’s business related, I’m not interested.”

“You’re only motivated to go on the party if it’s your friend, right?” his father pause for a while. Studying her daughter’s facial expression.

“Well, this party is one of your circle of friends.”

“Really, dad? Why do I have to attend that party? Where will you be at that day?” she asked.

She forgot totally that she had a date with Jangjun this coming Saturday, and the said party will be this coming Saturday.

“I am going to Philippines for the importing of the products, dear.”

“What? You’ll left me? How long will you stay there?”

She was shock that her father will left her.

“A year maybe.”
