Lives revolve around names
I don't have one
When people ask me who I am
I don't know
I need a name to prove that I mattered
To prove that I existed
Who do my thoughts belong to?
Whose body am I living in?
Whose life am I leading?
I don't know
I wish I had a name
That would outlive the number of days I have on this earth
Without one my days don't have meaning
I can hardly even call them mine
They happen around me but without me
I wish I had a name I could be proud of having
But alas, I am nameless
And always will be
