The sun through the trees

Sometimes I think my brain is like when you are driving on a sunny day
but then your view is obscured buy a patch of trees
don't get me wrong, you can still see the sun
it's just distorted now
it's  glow, dimmer than normal
it's temperature cooler
and depending on how thick the trees,
you can only catch glimpses of the sun
the trees only get thicker as time passes
but I guess the hope is that one day, I will break free of the strand of trees
and drive west right towards the sunset
with vibrant hues being all that I see
