Evelyn knew that she had to tell her Father.

She walked up to his office door and knocked.

“Enter.”

She opened the door and walked in the office.

Her Father was standing near the large windows of his office.

“Father,”

He looked from outside to his daughter.

“Evelyn, what is it?”

She closed her eyes and took in a deep breath.

She knew that there was no other way she could tell him, so she was just going to come right out and tell him.

She opened her eyes and looked right at her Father.

“I’m pregnant and The Prophet is the father.”

Her Father’s face turned into a look of evil.

A look of evil, that shook her to her very core.

He moved toward her.

Her blood ran cold when her Father stood right in front of her.

His face was centimeters away from her’s.

“Say. That. Again.”

“There is no reason for me to say it again. What I said is all true.”

Her Father backed away from her and ran one of his hands through his face.

“I see.”

He turned his back to her and started walking back to the windows that viewed the desert.

“Go to Lei."

He stopped where he was and looked over his shoulder at his daughter.

“She will give you something to take care of your little...problem.”

He turned his head away and continued to walk to the windows.

She felt her heart sink right into her chest.

“No!”

He stopped where he was and looked at her.

“Fine.”

He turned and started walking back to her.

“Then, give it to me when it’s born and I will put an end to it.”

Her face showed horror at her Father’s words.

“No, Father! I’m going to have this baby and it will live!”

Her Father stood only inches away from her.

“Then I will exile you and your unborn bastard!”

Her face turned into anger and disgust toward her Father.

He held up a single finger.

“But, know this.”

He pointed the finger at her.

“If I ever catch or grab hold of your child...you will wish that it had never been born.”

Evelyn felt a knot of anger and pain for her Father tighten in her chest.

She knew what she had to do.

She turned her back to her Father and walked to his office door.

She stopped and looked at him.

“Goodbye, Father."

"You are no longer my daughter and I am no longer your Father."

She opened the door and walked out of the office, before quietly closing the door behind her.

He grasped strands of his black hair between his fingers and let out a ragged breath.

He went over to one of the windows and his balled up fist went straight through the glass.

He didn’t feel any of the shards of glass go through his hand.

He just couldn’t believe how blind he was.

His daughter and the Prophet in love?

Why didn’t he see it coming?

Evelyn walked out of the F.E.A.R Tower.

She didn’t take any of her things, because she didn’t want to stay in that place for another minute.

She started walking to the camp of the Wild Ones, not looking back to the place that she once called home.
