Prime stood at the centre of the large field, facing Vanya, both of them dressed in their training gear. Prime, looking slightly confused and frustrated, called out to their father who stood a distance away from the rest of the group, "I really don't get what I'm supposed to be doing here."
"You will be absorbing her powers," Reginald replied coolly, not looking up from his notes.
Prime crossed her arms, sceptical. "I thought we were trying to train her, not strip her powers away."
"I'm not saying you'll absorb them completely," Reginald clarified, still writing in his notebook. "You're not taking her powers; you're amplifying them. There's a difference."
Prime raised an eyebrow. "What if I end up taking all of it?"
He sighed, finally looking up. "You won't. Number Seven is more than ready for her powers now. It's highly unlikely you'll absorb them completely."
"Highly unlikely?" Prime retorted, her voice tinged with disbelief.
Reginald narrowed his eyes at her, his voice steady but firm. "Just concentrate, focus on amplifying her powers."
With an exasperated sigh, Prime turned to Vanya, who was holding her violin. "Are you ready, V?" she asked. Vanya nodded, took a deep breath, and began to play a note, releasing a burst of energy.
Prime wasn't prepared for the intensity of the blast, and since she no longer had telekinesis to shield herself, she was knocked back, skidding across the grass. She groaned as she sat up, brushing off the dirt. "Prime! Are you okay?!" came the concerned shouts from her siblings.
Raising her hand in reassurance, Prime called out, "It's fine! Nothing permanent!" She gave Vanya a smile, trying to ease her worries. "Don't worry, practice makes perfect, V. You're doing great. I just need to focus more."
She slowly stood up, glancing over at Klaus. "Hey, Klaus, now that you're a telekinetic, try to catch me before I fly away. Just focus on me and levitate me."
Klaus hesitated, looking over at Reginald, who sighed deeply. "Fine, might as well practice, Number Four," he muttered.
"Thanks," Prime said with a smile, walking back to her starting position. As Vanya played another note, Prime was once again flung back, but this time Klaus was able to catch her mid-air and gently hover her to the ground before she slid.
"Nice one, Klaus!" Ben cheered from the sidelines, giving Klaus a playful slap on the back. Klaus laughed, momentarily letting go of Prime, causing her to tumble slightly.
"Oww! Klaus, remember you're levitating a person, not a feather!" Prime shouted as she quickly scrambled to her feet.
Five, standing nearby, tapped his foot impatiently, clearly annoyed by the slow progress. Prime rolled her eyes at his impatience. "Five, careful, you're going to burn a hole in the ground with all that foot-tapping," she teased.
