After that weekend at teepee village I had the privilege of becoming a mentor to Melody. She lived in a small town not too far away from camp, so I met with her once a week for some hangout time. I enjoyed my time with her so much that I decided to do it with even more people. I also got Harper in on it too. She and I would mentor a few girls in this area dealing with different issues. It was so amazing to see how we could impact other girls. I fully recovered half way through grade 12, right around Christmas time. Jessalyn and Taylor allowed me to stay with them for all of grade 12. After I had a choice to make. What was I going to do with my life now? It wasn't to hard of a decision for me because I knew where my home is, CAMP. I applied to work full time at camp and have worked there for the past 5 years. I also took an online college course for counseling. Now I have a degree in counseling and work at the most amazing place in the world. God has blessed me with many great experiences and I now have a "counseling centre" that I do through camp. It has been hard but so worth it. That's my LIFE!
