my phone was blowing up with messages from garrett and drew about garrett's party tonight. i was excited to get to spend the night with my best friends.

i knew it was the right time, but i didn't know what else to say. was i ready for tonight? i was kind of sad that i would be spending the night with shane while he was thinking about lisa and not me.. i guess shane and i will always just be friends and i'll just have to try and put my feelings aside.

why did i send a stupid kissy face to ryland? he probably thought i was a weirdo now. he did send one back tho? so maybe he does like me... ugh. i don't know what to do.

lisa: hey, shane! i was just wondering if you'd maybe want to go do something tonight?? ;)
oh no. i like lisa, she is really pretty but i really want to be with ryland. and i really don't know what to do.
shane: hey lisa. i actually have plans at garrett's tonight or i would go!
i was trying to get out of this without being mean about it.
lisa: oh okay.. ummm another time then??
shane: sure we can hangout another time.
i made sure to say hangout instead of go out hoping she'd get the point.

i didn't say anything back to the date part. not yet, not before i get my chance with ryland. i can't wait to spend the whole night with him.
i decided to go ahead and get ready. i took a shower then threw on some black skinny jeans and a light blue shirt. i put on my white shoes and a jacket then grabbed my wallet, phone, and charger.
"i'm leaving mom" i kissed my moms cheek grinning.
"have fun shaney!!" my mom smiled at me before i headed out the door to my car.
on the way to ryland's house i put on my QUEEN brittney and my other QUEEN avril. i decided to text ryland to let him know i was on my way.

ry🥰: ry ry??😂 anyways, i'll be ready
as promised, i arrived at rylands house 15 minutes later and put my car in park out by the curb.
why did i keep flirting with ryland? it was like something took over me when i was talking to him. it felt so right to act like he was mine when he wasn't. and i couldn't get him out of my head. the thought of him made my heart beat fast and my stomach queasy. i wasn't sure how much longer i could contain myself from confessing how i felt about him.
i was lost in my thoughts until i heard the car door open. i looked up to meet those ocean blue eyes. wow, he looked gorgeous. he had on light blue skinny jeans and a gray t-shirt with his vans. his hair was styled perfectly on his head and i wanted to run my fingers threw it.
"hey" ryland said with a sheepish smile. a small blush covered his cheeks.
"hey" i breathed out. i could barely get words to come out of my mouth, he had me tongue tied. i blushed realizing i was staring at him and coughed before sitting up in my seat and pulling my eyes from his body. i smirked before blaring the radio again and pulling off in the direction of garrett's house. tonight was going to be great.
