Chapter 2

Patton POV
I was sitting at my usual spot at lunch waiting for virgil. "Who are you looking for Patton?" I heard Logan ask. "Oh right I forgot to tell you but virgil will be having lunch with us." He looked at me confused. "Do you mean the kid that the teacher embarrassed?" He asked again. I forgot about the whole thing. " yeah that's him." He just nodded his head and went back to eating. It's been a little while. I think I might go look for him. I got up and left the food court and started walking down the halls. I heard laughing around the corner and when I turned it I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I saw deci and his friends beating on virgil. I ran back to the food court and got Logan. "Logan...hah... you have to help him he's hurt...hah." I panted our off breath from running. "Who pat?" He stood up and started following me. "Virgil! Come on you have to help him!" We ran through the food court and around the corner where virgil was laying unconscious on the floor. "Oh my goodness! Is he ok?" Logan got down and looked him over. "Pat go get me a first aid kit fast." I ran into the nearest classroom and grabbed a first aid kit and ran back to where Logan was. I gave him the first aid kit and he started cleaning the cuts on Virgil's face. "Pat go get a teacher." I ran to the office and told the lady at the front desk. She rolled her eyes? Then called someone. "Hey it's virgil again it seems like he's hurt once again." I couldn't believe what I was hearing. She didn't even care. I looked at her dead in the eye and glared at her. "How could you act like that he is hurt!" I yelled and ran back to Logan. When I got back I saw Logan standing up and someone carrying virgil. I was shocked to see who it was. "Hi roman. Why are you holding virgil?" I asked a little bit confused on to why he would help any of us. He's a jock and we are nerds. "Oh hi Patton, well I saw Logan trying to pick him up but he doesn't have the upper body strength." He answered with a smile. "Pat where are the teachers?" Logan asked and I looked at him. "They don't care..." I said in a sad voice. Logan then pulled out his phone and called the ambulance. "They will be here soon."

Logan POV
I was eating lunch and looked over to see Patton looking for someone. "Who are you looking for Patton?" I asked while looking at him. "Oh right I forgot to tell you but virgil will be having lunch with us." I looked at him questionably. "Do you mean the kid that the teacher embarrassed?" I asked even though I knew the answer. He looked at me and smiled. "Yeah that's him." I love it when he smiles it's so bright and amazing. I felt the blush creeping so I turned and went to eating. After a little while Patton got up and left. I didn't ask where he was going probably just the restroom. I was about to finish my lunch when Patton came running through the food court out of breath. "Logan...hah...you have to help him he's hurt...hah." He panted out. "Who Pat?" I stood up and started following him through the court yard. "Virgil! Come on you have to help him!" We started to run through the food court. When we rounded the corner by the lockers I saw him laying on the ground with blood running down his face and his breathing was slow. "Oh my goodness is he ok?" Patton asked as I bent down to check him out. "Pat go get me first aid kit." He ran off and soon came back with a first aid kit. He handed it to me. "Pat go and get a teacher." I said that and he ran off really fast towards the office. I was packing up the cuts on his face. I heard someone walking towards me. "Pat I need you to.." I looked up to see roman. "What happened?" He asked with a panicked face. "I don't know but I assume he was beaten up." I replied while trying to pick virgil up but he was to heavy for me. I felt Virgil float into the air. I looked up and saw roman holding him bridal style. I heard running and looked at Patton right as he rounded the corner. "Hi Roman. Why are you holding Virgil?" He asked roman with a confused look. "Oh hi Patton, well I saw Logan trying to pick him up but he doesn't have the upper body strength." He replied with a smile on his face. I looked at Patton questionably. "Pat where are the teachers?" I asked. He looked at me. "They don't care..." he answered in a sad tone of voice. I pulled out my phone and called the ambulance. "They will be here soon." I said looking at Patton then to Roman.
