Y/n POV:

"Bye, Ms. Tiffany, great lesson on calculus," I say to my teacher as the final school bell rings and I exit the building.

I walked home because I always enjoy the alone time and sometimes I pass by families enjoying themselves and not keeping any of their members in the shadow or secret. As I reach my house it seems as though Tom's car is parked beside Mum and dads, so like usual I take the long route through the woods to get into the back door of the house. It's not like any of them would notice if I got hurt or wasn't around.

"I'm home," I called while opening the back door.

"In the living room," Mum said.

I took off my shoes and dropped my bag in the mudroom before walking into the living room.

"Hey guys," I say in a suspicious manner.

"Hey, darling. Sit down." Mum says.

"What's going on? I'm not in trouble, right? I mean whatever you heard could be lies. Yeah." I say sitting beside Tom and nuzzling my head into his shoulder to hide the guilt off my face.

"No, you're not in trouble. Yet. Anyway, we came to talk about arrangements." Mum says in a serious manner.

"Oh no. I knew this would happen. Sorry. Please don't send me to an orphanage. I can sleep in the pantry closet if you need an extra room. I could quit school and just clean the house for a living or get a job and give you guys all my money. Please don't disown me, I mean the world already doesn't acknowledge my existence, but please I can do better...." I begin to rant but Mum quickly cuts me off.

"No sweetie, we would never disown you. I was just going to say that, your father and I are going away for the week, Tom and the twins are off filming with Harrison, and Paddy is staying at a friends house. Y/n/n can you stay at someone's house or here but know you would be alone." Mum says.

"What?! Mum not happening. She will not stay here by herself. I want her to be safe. I can just take her with the twins and she can crash at my place so I know she's ok." Tom interjects.

"It's fine Tom. I'm always on my own anyway and plus you guys literally stink. I don't want to be trapped in your smelly flat for a week when I can have all the necessities of home at my disposal. So, thanks but no." I said.

"I mean she is not wrong. She is 15 and she can look after herself just fine. Plus she's way more responsible than you boys." Dad says.

"But we are 18." Sam and Harry say in unison.

"She is a girl," Dad says.

"Sexist much," Sam mutters.

"Look, I guess she can stay on her own as much as I dislike she makes a good point. Plus Tom your flat is like 5 minutes away if anything she can call or you can check up on her." Mum says.

"Why'd you give me that option if you didn't like it?" I asked.

"Because we are harsh enough not to do much with you and you at least deserve another option. We want to try and make it not seem as bad." Mum says.

"Well, if that's it I have a competition for dance to practice for," I say as I begin to walk backward away from the awkward situation.

"Y/n/n you know as much as we want to we can't go. I'm sorry. But anyway what are you doing?" Tom asked.

"Solo, duet, and group," I say.

"That's a lot. Break a leg," Tom says.

"Well, apparently I'm the best in the class and they wanted to showcase me, but it's whatever," I say.
