Chapter 16/ Final Part

Flash forward 2 years 

Y/N POV: 

In the long run, the past two years have been surreal. In the next concert, I did with Shawn, Tom surprised me on stage with my family and we finally revealed that I was a Holland. The public reaction was better than we could have expected, although some fans were angered that Tom was the reason behind not revealing me sooner, I could not have been more ecstatic with the support received by almost every fan. 

I even got a role as Maya in a Disney channel TV show called Girl Meets World after I was discovered by the public and made some long-term friends. Shawn and I eventually started going out secretly once I turned 17, of course, my family approved of it but we had to keep it from the public for apparent reasons before I turned 18. Which brings us to the present times, my 18th birthday party.

"Happy Birthday to you." The song came to a finish and I blew out my 18 candles and made a wish for nothing to change because this is the happiest I have ever been in my life. As soon as I turn around from blowing the candles cake is immediately smashed into my face and by no other than...

"TOMMMM!!! Seriously I can not see anything with cake stuffed in my face." I begin to laugh as I take a slice and throw it back at Tom. 

"Just wanted to make you feel special on your big sis," Tom says as Shawn comes out with a box of beers because now I can legally drink in London.

"We thought this would be a fun surprise but Tom wanted to start a food fight. We went out and bought some beer for your party babe." Shawn says as I pull him into a hug and upon releasing him he places a kiss on my cheek. 

"Get a room you two," Tom says as he laughs at the situation. 

"Well, thanks for the idea we legally can now Tom," I say and everyone gets into a fit of laughter as Tom goes and gives me a hug. 

"Anyway have a great happy birthday Y/n. I am so happy we can finally celebrate this as one big happy family." Tom says as we hug. As the party goes on I get loads of birthday wishes from the rest of my family and then, in the end, Shawn comes out and tells me he has a surprise for me. What I didn't know is that my whole family knew about the surprise and were hiding to hear the conversation Shawn and I were about to have. 

"Y/n I wanted to bring you out here to first tell you I love you. Ok so we have known each other for almost 3 years and I knew from the moment I saw you alone in that gas station parking lot that you would truly change my life." Shawn says as he holds my hand and tears of joy begin to brim my eyes. 

"I knew from that moment that you were the one. So the day after I went and bought this ring because I knew that you were the one I wanted to spend my life with until it ends." Shawn gets down on one knee. 

"Y/n Hope Holland, my star, will you make me the happiest man alive and marry me?" Shawn says. I could not hold back my joy. 

"Yess! 1000000 percent yess." I say as I bring Shawn into a passionate kiss and he slips the large diamond ring onto my finger. I then hear my entire family start cheering. 

"You all knew about this," I say laughing as I am being congratulated by them all. Tom then says. 

"Well, of course, we did Shawn went and asked all of our permission for your hand in marriage before asking," Tom says as he gives Shawn a bro hug and pulls me into a hug. 

My mum then says, "Shawn was a real gentleman about it also he even prepared a whole speech and everything individualized to each of us but we knew that we were all going to say yes he truly makes you happy and I could not have asked for a better man to call my son-in-law." 

"Awww that is so sweet," I say as I turn to Shawn and give him a kiss. 

"Wait, there is one more surprise," I hear my dad say as he and Tom come in carrying a puppy that looks like Tessa. 

"You guys got me a blue Staffy like Tessa. Omg, I have always wanted my own puppy, thank you so much." I say giving Tom, my brothers, and parents big bear hugs. 

After the party is over Shawn and I go home and let's say we put that room to go use. Playing Mario Kart of course. 

All these years I would have never thought that this is where my life would bring but at last, I see the light and saw that life was never against me and now I am finally at peace with my family and will soon have a loving husband that has helped me from so much in life. At this moment being Y/n Hope Holland or soon to be Mrs. Mendes was the best feeling I could have ever had and now I am truly far from the shallow now.
