A.N. The picture above is kinda like what Sam and Colby are doing to take the picture. Except one of them is holding the other one's arm so they don't fall.

This one shot doesn't include either boys having depression or any other mental illness. Sam just gets anxiety from hanging over the building holding onto Colby's arm, but who wouldn't?  Ok I better stop before I spoil it all.

(Sam's p.o.v.)

I shivered at the sight of Colby holding onto my arm dangling over the edge, I was struggling to take the picture with his phone. At the moment I was the only think keeping him from falling 300 feet to his death. When he asked me to be the one to hold him over the edge (that gave me crippling anxiety) and take the photo for Instagram I had immediately denied him. Violently shaking my head, not an ounce of me wanted to dangle my best friend, and the most important person in the world to me over an edge where I was the only reason that he was not colliding with the pavement far below him.

"W-why don't you ask Elton, or Corey. Someone who is stronger, literally anybody but me."

I was shaking when I said this too. Both of the boys were with us but Colby only refused. Every single time I had begged him to have one of them to do it within the last hour. He leaned closer to me whispering in my ear so only I could hear. 

"Your the only one I trust Sam."

His voice sent shivers down my back. I knew it was a bad idea but I agreed. I took a burst of 15 photos on his phone for him to choose through before I placed the phone back down on the ground behind me. I then used both hands to pull him back up onto the building next to me. It wasn't the heights that scared me. It was leaning over the edge looking down at the ground 300 feet away. It was only Colby and I on the roof of the skyscraper. Elton and Corey left 20 minutes ago to explore the lower levels. They claimed to be to bored watching Colby and I take photos of Colby dangling. It made me furious. Not really at them but because I would be the only one up here to help Colby, nobody else was around. I had to hold Colby up with all my strength, no exceptions his life was on the line for this one. Although I have got to be one of the weakest people on this planet.

"See Sam, you didn't drop me."

He said once he reached the flat surface of the rooftop.

"I told you I have total confidence in you."

His voice pulled me out of my thoughts. I slightly blushed at the phrase he said. Was I really the only person he trusted. So I decided to ask him.

"Am I really the only person you trust Colby?"

I was nervous to hear his answer.

"Yep, I tell a lot of people I trust them. But you are the only person I ever truly mean that I trust. I definitely don't trust anyone but you with my life."

He said this al with the brightest smile on his face. I stood there shocked, and yet honored that I was the only one he knew he could trust with his life.

"What about your family?"

"No, Sam."

"Not even any childhood friends?"

"Only you Sam."

He said this while stepping closer to me we now were only three inches away from each other. I stared into his captivating electric sparkling blue eyes. And he stared back into mine. I felt him grab my hands. As soon as he did a jolt of electricity shot up my arm. I stood there silently with my mouth slightly open as he then interlaced our fingers. I swear they fit perfectly. And trust me I know it sounds cringy but its the truth. He leaned in, my heart skipped a beat. I didn't know if he was gonna stop and tell me something or... he hasn't stopped yet. I don't know if I was ready for him to kiss me. i mean I have liked him for years now. I have never felt closer to someone in my life. I prepared myself for his lips to crash into mine. I closed my eyes and waited. But nothing happened. I opened my eyes to see Colby shift from going to my lips to now my ear.
