Mael prov:I couldn't help it, I know Merlin told me not to, she said for her to come to me, to remember me on her own. But I can't just sit around waiting for her! It's not that easy for me like it is for her, and I'm glad I didn't listen. I'm glad I followed her into town today, if I didn't, I don't know what could have happened or the trauma she'd endure.
I was sitting on the roof of the demons bar when she left with her basket. She seemed so carefree, so I followed her, I don't like that she can't defend herself. But when she was attacked, something different all together took over me. It's hard to explain, but all I can really say, it was like I was being swallowed by something. When I realized what I was doing, the man was underneath me, bloody, begging for mercy. As much as I hated it, hated what he was trying to do, all I wanted was to get her out of there.
She was laying against the wall, barely conscious, covered in her own blood from the cut on her head. I picked her up and brought her back, currently Merlin and Elizabeth are up stairs taking care of her.
Letting out a heavy sigh, Meliodas comes up and sets a drink in front of me. I can smell the alcohol from here, I've never been much of a drinker. Looking at it I sigh again and take a swing of the bitter liquid.
"I haven't seen you this worked up in a long time mael, it's not like you" Meliodas states from across the table as he drinks his own ale. Nodding a bit while looking down into my lap.
"I suppose..but it's different when it's someone you care for so much" looking up to him. "You know that better that anyone Meliodas" his face got kinda serious for a moment, but quickly went back to his cheerful self.
"Yea I understand what your saying, I'm just glad your taking care of kora, she's always been a pretty rebellious kid..but she does have me as a older brother so I guess it makes sense" he chuckles a bit. I couldn't help but worry about her, I wish she'd remember me soon, miss having her around. Soon Merlin come downstairs and join us at the table.
"So, what happened mael?" Merlin asks, a little hardly noticeable smirk on her face. She's in a oddly good mood. Raising an eyebrow I smirk and explain what happened, loosing my smirk half way through. Elizabeth was shocked, she was glad I followed her. I'm sure they all were.
As we sat around and talked, I hadn't noticed it was dark till everyone returned from their day. They were all greeted and either joined us or sat at their own table talking and drinking with customers. By the end of the night I felt I was in the way, so I went to check on kora.
Walking inside to quiet room, the large bed that she was buried in sat on the far end. Making way to it I could hear the faint sounds of snoring. She was out completely. Smiling down at her I pull the covers up close to her face so she stays warm. She shifted and groaned softly before settling and soft snore take over the room.
Smiling before I tired and walked out the room, it'd be really creepy for her if she woke up to me watching her sleep. That being said, I'll return to the roof, since I don't really have a room here. I've been sleeping either up here, or down in the bar. Anywhere away from ban, but since Elaine moved in, we've all been safer.
Sitting on the roof, my feet hanging off the side, stretching my wings. It's nice out tonight, but I can't help but feel lost. Kora is all I have left, I've lost everyone but her. Even if she has forgotten, I'll never forget.
