I groan as I walk into the kitchen to see my mom and dad talking.
"Good morning Zoey." Mum says as she slides a plate of pancakes to me.
"Morning Zoey." Dad says as he kisses my cheek.
"Morning." I say in my sleepy voice.
"Ready for school?" Mum asks.
"Did you mean hell?" I say in my best Siri voice.
Dad chuckles and mum rolls her eyes.
"C'mon it can't be that bad." She says.
"I hated school too, I still do actually and I'm not even going now." Dad says with a shrug.
Mum sends him a glare before she approaches me.
"It will be okay Zoey you'll see." She says as she runs her fingers through my hair.
"It's just the first day of school it will be easy." Dad says and I nod.
I hope so.

"Sup Styles." Cameron says as he hugs me.
I smile and hug back. I glance back at my dad to see him give Cameron a death glare.
"He hates me right?" Cameron says as we enter the building.
"Nah, he's just overprotective." I say with a shrug.
He nods as we walk up to Amanda.
"Amanda!" I say and hug her.
"Zoeeeey!" She says and hugs me back.
"So, are you two a couple yet?" She asks looking at Cameron.
"W-What.." He says as he turns red.
"Oh, NEVERMIND." She says and turns around.
"What?" I ask and turn around to him.
"Nothing." He says.
I cock my head to the side in confusion. I stare into his beautiful eyes.. wait what. I turn around and go to my locker.

"Lunch finally!" Amanda says as we enter the crowded cafeteria.
"Meatloaf, well damn." Cameron says as he hands me a plate of stinky, poisoned meatloaf.
"Ew." I say and put it aside.
I search my backpack and find my emergency sweets. 'Emergency Sweets' written on the bag in my messy handwriting.
"Here." I say and hand one to each.
"Thank you Zoey. You're always prepared." Amanda says as she unwraps her candy.
I nod and eat mine.
"So Cameron wants to ask you something." Amanda says nudging him with her elbow.
"Um.. Will you be my girlfriend?" He asks.
"Yes." I answer smiling and he sighs in relief.
"I told you it wouldn't be that hard!" Amanda says.
"So, your place today right?" She says and I nod.

We hop off the bus and go on the elevator to my apartment. I unlock the door and we enter.
