He tries to read the letter. "Qual-i-ty" Mumbles to himself, you're happy he's giving it a go.
"So they've gone for the day and we have the place to ourselves?"
"See told you could read." Turn to kiss his cheek. "Yeah they're spending time together, that's good. Maybe she might start to smile a bit." You place the letter back in the door, too bothered to put it away.
"What do you mean? Why did he sign it Dad?"
"Well, when we're here Dad more relax, and not so proper. He can enjoy having a family."
"And what about Ray and your Dad?"
"He read up on you both. And saw that Ray didn't exactly have a great family. So he wants to show that he cares for her. Like a real father should, just we don't have a mother though."
