Chasing perfection
But it's just a
Misperception.
Perfect is a
Relative term.
There is no
Law, set firm.
Let go,
And know,
Your worth.
She reached for the stars,
Never knowing she'd fall.
What goes up,
Must come down.
For every smile,
There's a frown.
Enjoy the clear skies now,
For with the rain, it'll drown.
Flying
Doubting
Falling
Falling
Forgiven
Rising
The cross.
Once a horrid image,
Painted in red,
Depicting life lost,
Life taken.
Now turned around,
A heavenly artwork,
Painted in red,
Depicting life found,
Life given.
I grasp the light
Drinking it in
Before the dark
Consumes me again
Her smile was like the sun,
Freely shining upon everyone.
But, what people often forget,
Is that even the sun sets.
Every glance
Caused her smile
To brighten
Just the sight
Of them
Brought her joy
Dark and brooding,
From light, he ran.
Emo?
