"Probably wouldn't last a day."
Hopes' P.O.V:

"What para-?" I begin to say, until I hear a loud drum.

"That would be it." Klaus says.

I rush out, and there I see hundreds of people in the most brightest colours walking down the street in unison. Some people are laughing, some are singing, and some just seem like there having the time of their life's.

I stand there on the side watching the people pass by, some of the people that passed either waved or signalled for me to join them. I stood there alone for a few minutes until my uncle Elijah came out.

"What are they celebrating?" I say.

"Maybe not something in particular. This town always has parades, but I guess this parade is for you." He says.

"What do you mean?"

"Just keep watching." He says.

I watch the whole parade for a few more minutes until I see a banner that catches my eye. It had the most beautifulest colours, and I was ready to let it pass until I read the writing. "Welcome home Hope!"

"This parades for me?"

"Your dad prepared it." My uncle says.

I nod, trying to hide my wide smile, but I couldn't. I felt something I hadn't felt in a very long time. Wanted.

I was watching the parade for so long I didn't notice when it started to rain. My uncle grabbed me gently by my shoulders, and guided me in from the rain.

"Wouldn't want you to get wet." He smiles.

"Thanks uncle Elijah."

I walk in, and notice everyone's gone.

"Where is everyone?" I ask.

"Well your aunt Rebekah and uncle Kol are upstairs. The rest are somewhere which I do not know." He says sitting down.

I nod. "So what do I do.?"

"My dearest niece I wish to show you the best parts of New Orleans. For now you can explore anywhere you would like." He says.

I walk through the doors of the massive house, and there I find an unfamiliar man sitting down at the table on his phone.

"Hello?" I ask.

"Oh you must be Hope. I'm josh." He says taking out his hand.

I raise an eyebrow.

"Oh I'm a friend of the family." He says.

"Ok?" I say, sitting down across from him.

We sit in a silence that was too awkward for my liking, so I speak up.

"Who are you texting so violently?"

"Huh? How did you know that?" He says.

"Super hearing."
