Seven dances later, Anne was made privy to the nobleman's name. "My name and family status may displease you greatly, Lady Anne, but I assure you, you are not as what my family made you seem. The only one who told true of you was my sister."
Anne said nothing in response to that, awaiting her answer. After a few seconds of silence she finally decided to urge him on."Speak of yourself, my Lord. I want to know you, regardless of your family name. I may be a difficult woman but I see reason when I choose to. You intrigue me, and as I am sure you can tell...we make a great pair." The female sent a flirtatious smile at him.
"I am of Seymour blood, my lady. I share blood with Jane Seymour, your successor to the Queen's crown." Edward Seymour gauged her reaction, waiting for her to suddenly change her mind and go back on her words.
"And which Seymour is it, that is so very brave enough to seek my company?" The same look was in Anne's eyes as it had been from the first moment her gaze had graced his.
Anne turned from him.
"Edward Seymour."
A small smile graced Anne's lips. Still facing away from Edward, she spoke. "Then I shall write to you, Edward Seymour, tomorrow night. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance." She gracefully turned around to curtsey and he kissed her hand.
"Good evening, Lady Anne." Edward adieu-ed.
"Good evening, Lord Seymour."
At that moment, Anne Boleyn took her leave from the King's residence, leaving an awed Edward behind her.
