~party pt.2

Briar's P.O.V. :

It was extremely unusual for Jack to talk that awkwardly and end a call that fast but I didn't let that disturb or annoy me, 'cause it was my birthday. I decided to pick out my outfit before-hand so that I wouldn't end up being late. I didn't know what to wear, I tossed a bunch of my 'formal' dresses on my bed and tried a few of them but none of them made me feel 'beautiful' and actually looked good on me and I resolved that I should just take a break. After twenty minutes of lingering on my bed, I got up and continued looking for a dress. Till I found my favorite dress, it was the only dress that made me feel like I was worth it or that I looked appealing in.

I slowly realized that that same dress was the one that Myles took me on or a first date with and bought for me, it just brought back so many bad memories and I dropped the dress and cried. I was so miserable, I felt pathetic because I fell into his trap and I regret it every second of my life. My phone started vibrating and I pick it up and see Jack's name. I freaked out and picked it up and I tried to sound as casual as possible. Turns out he just wanted to make sure I was fine, and that I was still up for us meeting up, and I said I was.

I wore that same red dress because I didn't want to let my past define me. I started getting ready to see Jack by putting on the dress and applying the lightest layer of makeup (sorry dudes I don't wear makeup so idk if that's the correct terminology, so yeah) 'cause Jack hates when I hide my facial features with makeup. I didn't feel the need to impress Jack at this point, he always just overjoyed to see me, and that's the same way I feel about him. 

Jack's P.O.V. :

I got ready to meet Briar, I hope that she'll like and appreciate the surprise we prepared for her, 'cause the boys worked pretty hard on it. I want to show her how much I love her. I got into my Jeep and drove towards her apartment. what if she's secretly dating someone? what if she's fallen for someone else? what if someone got to her before I did? All these thoughts were eating me up inside, I sighed at the fact that I might never date Briar. I shook all these negative thoughts as I arrived at her apartment building. I took one last check to see if I smelt bad or if my hair looked terrible.

I walked towards her apartment and knocked on the door, I hope she isn't there..aghh but I want to see her. She unlocked the door and turned to face me, damn she looked stunning. Wait she always does but now I'm realizing how much I want this girl in my life. She shyly said "Hey Jack." it took me a few moments to process that I was staring at her and embarrassed I look away.

Her beauty is distracting boiii...
