It was a Friday afternoon Hensley was finishing up her shift. She signed all of her charts then clocked out she went down to the surgery floor and into his viewing area of his OR. He happened to look up and seen her. She tapped her watch he looked at his watch and he said "I'm not gonna be late for rehearsal baby I'll be there I promise.. I still got another hour."
She pushed the button "You better not be late Barnes we don't need anymore drama I gotta go baby love you."
"Love you baby" he said as he blew her a kiss.
She blew him a kiss and he went back to his surgery. He let out a breathe behind his mask he was trying to remove a two bullets from someone that tried to shoot themselves but was still breathing and had brain activity. He pulled out the first one he spent the first 45 minutes trying to decide the best course of action cause one tiny slip and he could do some damage. He very slowly pulled out the second one after having to dig around to get it out. He shook his head "Damn it.. there's another one." as he checked his watch.
He stuck his finger in the hole to move around and he was able to pull it out. He threw the bullet in the pan with the other two. He started to sew him back up and said "Get him to recovery page me when or if he wakes up and check his brain activity" as he too of his head gear and ran out to scrub out then made his way to the rehearsal dinner after he got changed as well.
They did their rehearsal then they all sat down and ate dinner. "You almost was late." she whispered.
"I know baby I'm sorry I thought there was only two but one was hiding." he said

"No this person took a pistol to his head and shot three times." he said

"The frontal lobe baby.. so I told them to page me when he woke up and to monitor his brain activity he was moved to your floor." he said
