I shoot the guy right in the head and turn to Carter. "Just like that, buddy!"

He claps. "I can't wait to join the team!"

"You still have eleven more years!" I laugh.

Eleven more years.

Shit, I might have to let him join when he's nine... so he can at least enjoy a year of The Red Hooders.

"Yea! I can't wait!!" he exclaims and my heart breaks.

No, he doesn't know about what's going on.

He's too young...

We plan to tell him when he turns seven.

I hate the fact this won't be forever... but apart of me is telling me that it will.

That nothing will happen...

That my son will be with me until I die.

"How does it look?" I show him.

"So pretty! Mommy is gonna love it!!" he chirps. "When are we gonna show her?"

I put it in my back pocket. "Tonight" I ruffle his hair.

"Hey guys!" Caroline walks in.

I look up at her. "Hey! How was the campus?"

She smiles. "Awesome! I applied" she exclaims and I sadly smile. "Awww I know you hate me growing up and going to college and having a boyfriend, but I'll always be your little sister"

"Damn right, Carebear" I put her in a head lock and ruffle her hair, making her laugh.

"Hey guys" the guys walk in.

"Yo" I let go of Caroline.

Carter runs to Rachel who's walking in.

"Are you and Rachel going out tonight?" Jackson asks.

I nod. "Yea?"

They already know what I'm planning so why are they asking this?

"Gotcha" Benny gives me a thumbs up.

"Why?" I ask.

"Because apparently she forgot" Cody laughs.

I raise an eyebrow and look at Rachel. "I'm sorrrry" she forces a smile.

I shake my head. "I told you yesterday"

"Yea I know I forgot!" she rubs Carters back.

I sigh and runs my fingers through my hair. "Yea, right"

"That's our cue" the guys run out.

"Carter why don't you go play with grandpa? He's shooting outside" Rachel let's go of him.

"Okay!" Carter runs to the back porch.
