Chapter Five: Smile

Toni and Sam were up next for their dance prod, the crowd cheered as the hosts called out their name to the center stage.

Sam took one last look at Toni who was focused, "Ready?" He asked her.

"Ready" Toni assured.

The audience gave a standing ovation to their prod number, it was beautifully choreographed and danced. A very emotional dance, but the people didn't know that the tears Toni cried after she dropped to her knees was real tears from what she's currently going through.

After their dance, they walked backstage. Sam held Toni as they walked, their co-stars congratulated them as they passed by. Two people stopped them to talk, Martin Nievera and Gary Valenciano.

Sam backed a way for a while to let the two men talk to Toni, "Totoong luha yun kanina" Gary told what he noticed.

"Anong nangyayari sayo?" Martin asked.

Toni looked up to them with tears in her eyes, they hugged her, "Wala na kami ni Paul" she told them.

The two men looked at each other then faced Toni, "We're here for you, sweetheart" Martin assured as she hugged her tight and kissed the side of her head.

Gary hugged her, "Everything will be okay, you'll get your heart back again" he promised, "Kami ni Kuya Martin will make sure you do"

Toni smiled at the two gentlemen who she treat like a mentor and older brothers, "Thank you"

"Sam, take care of her" Martin told as Sam began to join them.

"I will Kuya, don't worry" Sam promised as he held Toni again and wiped her tears.

"One show down, two to go. You'll get home soon" Sam told as they walked to their dressing room.

Sam heard Toni's stomach make a noise, "Haha right on time"

"Hmm?"

They walked in the dressing room and Toni could already smell the food on the table, her stomach growled again. Toni showed a sheepish smile at Sam, "Thank you"

Sam watched as Toni grabbed a plate and became excited to the food in front of her, "But first before we eat, pray muna tayo" she said as everyone closed their eyes, bowed their head and listened to Toni's prayer.

After the prayer, everyone grabbed the food and ate, Toni sat next to Sam.

"Di ka pa kumukuha?" Toni asked.

"Mamaya na lang, medyo busog pa ako eh" Sam said as he watched Toni eat.

Toni scooped a spoonful of rice and chicken, "Say ah, bawal tanggihan ang grasya!" She said as she spoon fed Sam and wiped his chin with her thumb.

Sam took the utensils from Toni and fed her too, "Ikaw, kanina pa nag-iingay ang tiyan mo" he laughed, giving her a smile.

"Ano ba Sam, magsusubuan ba tayo?"

"Bakit, di pa pwede? Ako naman nagpabili e"

"Ah, ganun. Meron na pala ako atraso sayo?"

"Ano ka ba. Eto na kukuha na ng pagkain, okay?"

"Sandali, magdagdag ka na lang ng pagkain dito sa plato natin at kumuha ka na lang ng spoon and fork" Toni told as Sam obeyed.

Sam brought over the plate, "Samuel, umaapaw na yung kanin. Ang dami mong dinagdag" she whined.

"Wag ka magalala, di mawawala abs mo" Sam teased as he remembered Toni's IG post.

"Sigurado ka abs ko mawawala? Ako okay lang, ikaw kaya Mr. Conscious sa abs" Toni recalled as Sam looked down to his shirt.

Toni laughed, "Oh? Ano?"

Sam mocked her laugh, "Basta kumain ka na lang, say ah" He told as Toni opened her mouth as he fed her.

"Ma-empacho ako ni 'to"

"Lagot ka kay Direk Lauren"

"Ikaw sisisihin ko"

"Bakit ako?"

"Kasi naman subo ka ng subo sa akin! Ikaw di kumakain, Say ah!" Toni told as he obeyed as she fed him.

"Ang dami nun ah! Konti lang sinubo ko sayo" He said as Sam cleared his throat, "Tubig"

"Kasi, wag magsalita kapag ngumunguya" Toni told as she helped him by patting his back and rubbing it gently, "Okay ka na?"

He nodded, "Salamat" he smiled.

They finished their food, every bit of it. Toni looked at Sam with tired eyes, "Inaantok na ako"

"Dami kasi natin kinain, food coma"

"Paano ako magfit sa dress ko para sa The Buzz?"

"You'll fit, or choose a different outfit na lang. Ask AJ" Sam suggested.

Toni nodded as she stood up, "AJ, Macy, mag ready na tayo?"

Her team started ti get ready as AJ grabbed her outfit and Macy asked Toni to sit on the make-up chair as Onyok began retouching her face.

They finished and Sam was still there for Toni, "Wala kang plans?" Toni asked.

"Meron"

"Bakit di ka pa umaalis?"

"Kasi andito na ako" he smiled.

"Uyyyyyyyy" Macy, AJ and Onyok cheered as they felt "kilig" to Sam's remark.

Toni blushed, "Tin, wala ka pang blush on pero pula na ng cheeks mo" Onyok teased.

Sam smiled, "I'll be here when you need me or want me" he promised.

Toni smiled at him, "Thank you, Samuel"
