It was the first day of school! Sunny was sad to see me go, but I quickly told her that I would be back soon, and with that, I skipped to the bus. Mom has been looking for a man, and recently a stranger was at our house, he had blonde hair and a red sweater. He and Mom hung out for a bit, and Mom got mad and threw her drink at him. Then they talked for a little while, and the stranger gave Mom a rose. Then he left. When I asked her after he left about what she threw at him, she said it was just grape juice. I hope she was right. But school wasn't bad. My teacher gave us homework already, to see what we knew. When I got home, I played outside with Sunny. The bus arrived and dropped off Lane. She wasn't smiling. Sunny stopped jumping around and looked at her. Lane grumbled and walked into the house. She went straight to her room and slammed the door. We could hear it, from outside. Sunny ran through the doggy door and went straight to the kitchen. I followed her in. Mom was cooking dinner. Sunny sat by her feet as she stood by the stove.
"What's for dinner Mom?" I questioned.
"Oh just grilled cheese and some salad." She replies.
I bolt out of the kitchen, trying to avoid the smoke. Count that as burnt salad, and ashes that were once grilled cheese. Salad can't really be burnt, as some say, but you would be surprised. Hoping she would finally realize her cooking was horrible, the stranger came back and introduced himself to me. I was just playing alone in my room when he walked in. He seemed odd, very adult-ish. He even seemed, to be attracted to Mom. Ughh. It disgusts me...
