Eijirou groaned, lying on his back with an open textbook beside him and Bakugou sitting a foot away eating strawberries. He wished he was here to relieve him of his homework duties, or at least give him some answers so he could get done faster, but the blond was a firm believer in, well, Eijirou. And Bakugou wasn't going to let him quit until he had gotten this down.
“English is stupid,” he announced, causing Bakugou to snort at him.
“You're just not trying, Hair for Brains,” he smirked, then popped another berry in his mouth.
Eijirou watched him chew for a minute, transfixed by the small amount of red juice that dribbled down his chin. Bakugou, mistaking that look of want for him wanting a strawberry, raised an eyebrow, getting an idea.
“How about this, Kirishima,” the boy in question felt his heart skip at the use of his name, “Every time you get a question right, I’ll give you a strawberry. Every time you get one wrong, I eat the strawberry instead.”
Eijirou studied him for a moment before nodding, “Yeah, that sounds fine, hit me.”
Bakugou nodded and picked up the textbook, reading through it for a second before picking a sentence, “Okay, what's the correct way to say ‘Adam and I are walking to the store.’ in English?”
He struggled a bit but ultimately got the question right. Bakugou grinned sharply at him and tossed the berry, and Eijirou beamed up at the blond in return.
“That wasn't so hard! I may just get all of the strawberries!” He said happily, and Bakugou raised an eyebrow before looking back down at the textbook.
“Alright then hotshot, what's ‘I have to leave with my mom now because we are going to the store later.’ in English?”
Yeah, there was no way he was getting that one right.
After he struggled through it and ultimately failed, Bakugou smirked at him, “Not so cocky now are you?”
Eijirou stuck his tongue out and sat up as his friend grabbed a strawberry to take a bite out of it. He turned back around to sass back at him but froze at what he saw.
He had turned just as Bakugou wrapped his lips around the red fruit and bit down, causing juice to drip down his face. He chewed and swallowed the berry before wiping his face with a forearm and giving him a sharp grin, the leftover berry in his mouth looking like blood.
That should not be as hot as it is.
Eijirou blushed and looked away, trying to control his thumping heart, “Y-yeah, yeah, you took me down a peg. What's the next one?”
On they went, Bakugou reading out a sentence and Eijirou trying to say it again in English. More often than not Eijirou got the sentence right (thank All Might for Kaminari and his love of western music) and it was only a few times he had to suffer through the temptation of watching his best friend eat the red berries.
Finally, one strawberry remained in the basket. Bakugou picked it up between two fingers and a thumb, holding it up with a smirk.
“Final strawberry, Kirishima, you think you can win it?”
Eijirou smirked back at the blond, his eyes flashing at the challenge in his voice, “Oh I know I can, gimme the sentence.”
Bakugou looked down at the textbook, “‘Of all the places I have learned of, my favorite is the Middle East.’, or would that be too hard for you?”
Eijirou closed his eyes, focusing on the sentence, picturing it in his mind, before translating it one word at a time. After he finished, he peeked open an eye to find Bakugou giving him a small smile, practically a beam when it came to the explosive boy, with a strange but proud look in his eyes.
“You got it exactly right, congrats, but…” he trailed off, his eyes flitting to the strawberry he still held, “I think I may keep this one for myself.”
“What? No!” Eijirou gasped, then grabbed the wrist of the hand holding the fruit. He plucked it from his fingers with the other hand, “No way, I earned this strawberry fair and square!”
Bakugou used his other hand to take the strawberry back and hold it as far away from the other as he could, “But I barely got any!” He raised an eyebrow and smirked and that was it.
Eijirou dived towards Bakugou, aiming for the strawberry. The two wrestled, the strawberry exchanging hands back and forth, until Eijirou ended up on top of the other boy, one hand holding the strawberry and the other holding down Bakugou. They both had a high flush to their cheeks and were panting hard, and if anyone else walked in at that moment there was no telling what they'd think.
The redhead smirked down at his friend, victory in his eyes, until Bakugou leaned up and ate the strawberry right out of his hand. Eijirou, who was still running purely on adrenalin, didn't hesitate before following him down and pressing their mouths together.
He licked quickly into Bakugou’s mouth and scooped up the strawberry into his own before pulling away. He quickly ate the berry and grinned down at his friend, “Ha! I win!”
He saw Bakugou's shocked look and, once he realized what he had just done, promptly went as red as the fruit he just ate.
Eijirou let go of Bakugou's wrists and sat back, looking away and biting his lip, only applying the slightest pressure so as to not break the skin. He had just ruined everything no doubt, and after going so long without giving it away too!
Eijirou was about to apologize, maybe play it off as adrenaline or something, when he felt two hands grip him by the collar and jerk him down. He didn't have time to even make a noise as chapped lips were pressed firmly against his.
Bakugou was… kissing him?
Eijirou didn't let himself hesitate or overthink it as he quickly placed his hands on either side of the blond's head and kissed back eagerly. He hummed into it, opening easily when he felt a tongue shyly asking entrance to his mouth, and felt Bakugou slip one hand from his collar and into his hair.
Eijirou felt sparks fill his body from head to toe, almost as if he were letting Kami electricity him again. He felt like there were thousands of tiny butterflies bursting to get out of his stomach, but he didn't care at all. The sensation was maddening and beautiful, much like the boy who caused it.
Eijirou twined his tongue with Bakugou's before using it to map out his mouth, running it along his teeth and the roof of his mouth, enjoying the sweet taste. When he remembered what that taste was, he laughed softly, breaking the kiss to hold himself above Bakugou and smile softly.
Bakugou was flushed and panting, his matte red eyes dazed and unfocused. At Eijirou’s continuing chuckles, however, he focused on the redhead and frowned confusedly.
“What's so funny?”
Eijirou only shook his head, smiling even wider as he said laughingly, “You taste like strawberries!”
