She exhaled again and managed to shake her head. "Yeah. Im alright. Thank you both so much." She said genuinely. "I'm sorry but im going to need a few minutes before my body will work again." She apologized. They had actually helped her. And even though she wasnt out of the woods yet, she felt some great sense of relief that she had gotten this far. She knew they were going to have questions for her and she was willing to answer any and all of them. Anything for their help saving her.

"What's your name?" Novak asked seriously. "Can't just call you woman all the time and I refuse to call you mask." He wondered how she'd managed to escape. (Aren't they usually restrained?) He thought as he lit a cigarette and offered her one.

Gear set the shield emitter on the coffee table and sat in the floor. He knew he could pass through it without his augmentations frying. "I'm doctor Gear and this is Novak. And you are in my clinic."

Novak snorted. "Clinic?" He said sardonically. "I'm lucky I didn't get tetanus."

She shook her head at the offer of his cigarette. She didnt smoke. And even if she did, her arms wouldnt cooperate with her if she tried. She smiled sweetly up at Novak. "Mask." She answered his question of her name. She turned her head slightly to look at doctor gear then. "Thank you both for your help." She added genuinely.

Novak shook his head. "You can stay here as long as you can tolerate it." He said seriously. "And we'll give you a name then that isn't a bitter reminder of what you used to be." He started trying to think of names as he spoke.

"Oh great. Finally someone useful." Gear teased. "Whenever you're able to move I'd like to look at your implant to see what tool I'll need to remove it. Then I can work on getting it."

She forced herself to sit up then with much effort. Even with the coat she was still shivering with cold since she was still soaking wet. She felt bad she had gotten the couch and novaks lap wet but didnt want to draw attention to it. "My generation of Masks implant has to be taken out with a master key. From what little i understand of it its something to do with magnetics as well as mechanisms." She said helpfully. "Its connected to both my spine and my brain stem." She added. She struggled and lifted a hand then to move her mass of wet hair over one shoulder so he could see her neck easier. Her hair was always getting in the way of everything. But it was the only thing she was allowed to control about her appearance.

Novak scanned her neck where she was showing them as gear grabbed a monocle of sorts to do the same. "Well shit looks like you'll get your wish Novak." Gear said frowning. "I can't help so you'll just have to go kill everyone. Maybe take some hostages and get what we need from the source." He sighed. "Sorry girly. I got nothing to help with that. I don't even have what I need to build something. I spent all my best parts on that maniac."

Novak rolled his eyes again and stood up. "Wait right there I'll get you a towel and then you can wrap yourself up in my blanket." He said before easily walking through the e-mag shield. Gear sighed with relief when it didn't affect him.

She released her hair then and nodded. She already knew he wasnt going to be able to help her. But she was alright with that. She had gotten this far and that was what mattered. "Um. Would it be at all possible to borrow something dry to wear? Just for tonight so my dress can dry? If not I understand." She requested meekly. She felt awful for being greedy and asking for more. But she also didnt want to add more problems by getting sick.

Novak nodded. "There's a stack of my clothes right there. Help yourself to whatever you want." He said gesturing to a neat attack of clothes by the couch. "Make yourself at home. The bathroom is there and the kitchen is over there." He walked into the bathroom to grab a towel for her.
