Gundham Tanaka x Reader

Chapter 2 - Jealousy

Following that day in the garden, you and Gundham had gotten considerably closer. Not only that, but you had also been regularly working out with Nekomaru and Akane after school. You experienced a newfound confidence now that you were getting healthier and feeling like you finally found your place among your class. The only downside is that by hanging out with him more, your feelings for Gundham grew stronger with each passing day. It had gotten to the point where you had found yourself spending your class time daydreaming and continually getting reprimanded by the teacher for not paying attention. Every night you went to bed hoping you would be able to escape to a dream world where you and Gundham lived happily ever after. It was after waking up from a very pleasant dream that you decided you had to confess to him before you were overwhelmed with a bundle of nerves and feelings you didn't know what to do with. You knew he liked your real hair the best, so you made a conscious decision to come to school without a wig.

You sat in your homeroom class pondering what was the best time to tell him. After giving it some thought, you decided that you were going to confess during lunch. After all, that's the time you two usually hang out anyway. Out of the corner of your eye you saw Kazuichi staring intensely at Sonia with nothing but love in his eyes. Even though she didn't budge, you could tell that Sonia knew he was staring at her but chose to ignore him and continue flipping through her occult magazine. While watching the scene, part of you wished that Gundham would look at you the way Kazuichi looked at Sonia. As if on cue, Gundham entered the classroom with a scowl on his face that you had grown accustomed to. As we walked past you to get to his desk, one of his hamsters, "Invading Black Dragon" Cham-P leaped out his scarf and landed on your desk. He crawled up your body and stopped at your neck, nuzzling you. Even though all of the Four Dark Devas had gotten used to you, Cham-P in particular took a liking to you. After his greeting, the chubby hamster hopped off of your desk and ran over to Gundham, returning to his scarf. That little interaction caused you to surge with determination and confidence. 

"Even his hamsters like me,"  you thought to yourself. "There's no way that Gundham doesn't like me back."

Before the school mascot could finish his lunchtime announcement, you bolted out of your classroom smiling from ear to ear. You didn't know if it was the adrenaline rush or your increased stamina from working out with Nekomaru and Akane, but you didn't slow down one bit as you sprinted to the garden. Once Gundham was in your line of sight, you picked up the pace and made a beeline straight to him. You noticed he was looking in your direction and you started to become filled with joy.

"This is it!" you said to yourself. "I'm gonna confess, he'll confess as well, aaannnnd.... What the fuck is this?" You stopped dead in your tracks when Sonia suddenly intercepted you and began walking off with Gundham at her side. It was then you realized that he was actually looking at her, not you. 

"This is bullshit! I mean, where did she even come from!? I've never even seen them hang out before! I deadass stitched a whole picture for him, but all she has to do is call his hamsters cute ONE TIME and now they're attached at the hip. See, that's the problem with society these days. People can get away with mediocrity just because they're pretty! Oh, and one other thing! Kazuichi ADORES her, so why the fuck does she have to go and snatch Gundham up, too!? Like, holy fuck, can you save some guys for the rest of us!?" You continued to rant and rave while Nekomaru held down your feet as you did sit-ups. 

"Even though I can't help you in that department, it's good that you're channeling your anger through this. Your adrenaline must be pumping right now! I've never seen you do this many sit-ups in one go!" Once you were done working out for the day, you went home and immediately hopped into bed, still fuming over the events from lunch.

The next morning, you stopped at your locker before entering your homeroom class. To your surprise, you found a folded up sheet of paper inside of your locker. You grabbed and unfolded the piece of paper and quickly scanned what was written on it.

"Meet me in the auditorium after school. It's important."
