With a big smile on your face, you entered your classroom ready to see some familiar faces. You were greeted by Akane and Hajime as you took the seat you assigned yourself. It had only been a few days since you first set foot in Hope's Peak Academy, so you didn't know much about your fellow students except their names and faces. Your appearance immediately caught the attention of Ibuki, who ran over to you with a smile on her face.

"Whoa, Y/N! You chopped off all your hair!" She reached over to touch your hair and you impulsively scooted your seat out of her reach.

"Stop! You're gonna make it fall off..." Ibuki stared at you with a puzzled look, so you decided to clarify what you meant.

"It's a wig," you whispered. "You'll end up pulling it off if you're too rough with it."

"YOU WEAR WIGS!?" Ibuki's voice rang out through the classroom and soon everyone's heads turned towards you and her. Flustered by the sudden attention, you laid your head down to avoid the stares. From afar, Hiyoko began chuckling under her breath.

"So you're fat AND bald? I'm almost starting to feel sorry for you." Over the summer, you spent a lot of your time with your grandmother, which led you to be frequently exposed to her irresistible home cooking. Admittedly, that did lead you to put on a little bit of weight. You perked your head up, red with embarrassment from Hiyoko's comment.

"Hey, I'm not bald! There's nothing wrong with wanting to change your hairstyle every now and then, and wigs are the quickest way to do that." Despite you hoping that would get everyone off your back, Nekomaru's booming voice kept the scene going.

"If you're trying to lose weight, you should come see me. I can help motivate and whip you into tip-top shape!" At that point, you were ready to melt into the floor and disappear forever. Even though you didn't admit it, you were seriously thinking about taking up Nekomaru's offer. You made sure to make a mental note in case you change your mind. Finally, the sound of the door opening took the attention off of you.

Gundham was the last student to enter the room, and you silently thanked the heavens that he wasn't there to witness the scene from a few moments ago. The day of everyone's arrival, Gundham caught your attention right away. It was a little hard to decipher his flowery way of speaking, but you thought he was pretty hot so you didn't care too much about that. You've been trying to get his attention, but you weren't sure how to approach him. If he showed up to class just a few minutes earlier, you were sure you would end up losing your chance before you even get to do anything.

"Hi, Gundham..." you said meekly. Unfortunately, your greeting was not reciprocated as Gundham was occupied talking to one of his hamsters. You assumed that he would greet you once he was done with his hamster, so you continued to look in his direction as a way to let him know you were still waiting. Once his hamster crawled back into his scarf, he made eye contact with you. However, what you received wasn't a greeting at all.

"Kehehe... How incredibly foolish to believe that a mortal being could successfully use their intimidation tactics on me. Your attempt to intimidate me is child's play compared to what I have witnessed in the underworld."

"W-what? It's not like that at all! It's just that I said 'hello' when you first walked in and you never said anything back. You were busy talking to your hamster."

"Are you aware of how naive you sound!? To believe that not just you, but ANY human is entitled to acknowledgement from a supreme overlord whilst taking priority over the Four Dark Devas of Destruction is laughable!" Before you could give a rebuttal, the sound of the intercom clicking on captured everyone's attention.

"Goooood morning, everyone! It is now 8 AM. Please make your way to your first class pronto!" You sighed in relief knowing that this disaster of a homeroom period was finally over. As everyone was shuffling out of the room, you noticed you were directly behind Gundham. The hamster he was talking to before poked its head out of his scarf and stared you down. You tried to not make eye contact. For some reason, you felt that Gundham could sense whether or not you were staring and that he would yell at you again if you tried to "intimidate" his hamster. Eventually, his hamster went back into his scarf as you two separated to go to your respective classes.
