He knelt in the middle of the room, arms raised above his head in surrender. The people watched. Not caring. Not upset. Just devoid of emotion. All except for Cassie. She pushed her way towards the front of the crowd.

"Why are you doing this?" She yelled. "What's he done wrong? Leave him alone."

The man with no face lifted the gun, light sparking off its exterior. Cassie screamed as he aimed. The crowd slowly began to chant "Edward. Edward. Edward."

Cassie felt sick. "You can't! He's done nothing wrong!"

Right as she approached the edge of the crowd, the faceless man fired. The body of Edward slumped over, sinking into a pool of his own blood and brain matter.

She felt tears welling up as she broke through the crowd. Cassie sprinted the rest of the way to his body. Instantly a line of armed men bolcked Edward from her sight. The man directly in front of her shifted his face cloth enough so that he could speak. "Family connection?" Cassie began to lie about how she was his sister when another man spoke up. "Cassie honey, wake up." She spun around in confusion as her eyes slowly opened.

And she woke up.
