You are awakening by the sun that touches your face through your windows. You must have forgotten to close your curtains before sleeping and this bothers you. You want to sleep some more but you can’t anymore.
The bell rings, means there must be someone who’s now standing in front of your door outside.
You reluctantly drag your body off of bed and hurry down to open your door, you don’t want that person waits for you any longer to come. The door pull open and there a guy standing, it was the mailman.
“Good morning. I hope I didn’t disturb you from your sleep” he greets you, as he shuffles inside his mailbag.
“You’re not” you response. He lends you a white envelope and leave.
You wonder who this could be sending you mail. This wasn’t your first time to receive a letter from someone you don’t know. But you were thinking why the mailman needs to push the doorbell just to give this. He could just slide it in the mailbox near the road.
You close the door and sit on your couch. That mailman has just mistaken this letter sending me, you think.
You open it and start reading it. The penmanship is kind of confusing. You could barely read each word. This is obviously from a man, a girl never wrote a messy one.
It states that the receiver should meet this man on the corner of the street near a boutique. The address clearly stated where to find him.
Who could this be? You think. And with that thought you dress yourself and get yourself going before this man could leave.
You clearly remember the address and you have to go there quickly. You really want to see this creepy man, sending you mails since you were new at your subdivision. You half run and walk until you reach the said place.
He said he’s going to wear in disguise so people will not easily recognize him. You wonder who this might be because he wants to avoid people.
You notice a man in his gigantic height. He has the most beautiful face that is worth staring for, though he’s wearing a glass.
You didn’t aware that he comes closer to you.
“Hi, I’m Kris. Are you Christine?” he starts to talk to you. You don’t know how to response in his sudden appearance, your expression changes into confusion. He knows your name!
You even lean up to his face to clearly see him. He is too way taller than you.
“Nae, I’m Christine, how did you know my name?” something flashes back to your mind. Is this the guy who always sends me letters? You mentally asked.
As if he reads your thoughts, his response. “I am the guy who sent you letters every morning…” before you could say something and interrupt him, he continues “The first time you arrived and became my neighbor, I felt uneasy” he shyly smiles at you as if it was awkward to talk. You are his neighbor and your doors are next to each other’s but why does he need to send it through mailman? You think.
You feel conscious suddenly and a bit awkward. “Uh… hi. So what’s the purpose of your letters?” you finally find your tongue to speak.
“I just want to be your friend and perhaps ask you out one time” he says. You startled at what he said but you just smile at him.
“ummm…. Do you want to come with me to have some walk?” you ask with a mischievous grin on your lips.
