It was late rainy afternoon. Your attention is fixed on the thing you are currently doing. You are writing your journal that needs to be passed as soon as you finish the whole thing.
Your mind is preoccupied with the things you have done recently and no one could ever distract you.
You place the end of your pencil against your head as if thinking critically.
“Where did I go yesterday?” you ask yourself. You quickly write down when you remember something.
“Oh! In the bubble tea shop” you murmur to yourself.
You hear a knock on your door. It’s not just a normal knock. The person knocks hardly as if he really wants to get in as soon as possible time.
You, of course, wonder who it was because you are not expecting a visitor. Now that the rain hasn’t stopping yet and the weather makes you feel listless.
You were distracted. You feel a bit annoyed but you have to entertain this, maybe this is urgent. The knock is getting desperate this time so you hurriedly run to the door.
You open it and ready to shout right at his face but before you could react, he covers you mouth with his hand and immediately slams the door, and pins you against the door. He’s too fast doing it all in just a blink of an eye.
You were startled. He quickly removes his hand that was covering your mouth. You just can’t recover from shock to see who’s here for a visit.
He is a tall guy with a black shiny hair that falls down to his brow, enough to be called ‘bangs’. His skin is fare, farer than yours. He has an angelic face and when he smiles his dimples are deep and attractive.
“Who are you?” you try to sound tough but your voice betrayed you. Your voice cracked.
“I’m sorry. I don’t know where else to go and I’m in a hurry so I fell on this” he says sincere.
You were convincing at what his reason is. You could see that he’s not the type of a guy that would do bad and suspicious deeds.
You walk to your table, and sit on your chair, leaving him facing the door. But eventually he follows you.
“Sit there” you said pointing to the chair across the table. He sits down.
“What’s your name?” you ask him. He’s quite familiar but you honestly don’t know him, though.
“I’m Lay” he says. His voice was soft and calm.
“I think I’ve seen you already before, it’s just that I can’t remember but--- Oh, never mind” you say.
“Can I stay here for a while?” he asks.
“Since you’re here, why not. But why are you here?”
“I’ve been hiding from people” he says. You focus on his face. Your forehead formed a crease.
“Why?”
“It’s a long story”
“I’m all ears”
“I can’t tell”
“Why?”
“I forgot about it” he says. You laugh at what he said. He’s quite humorous. You don’t feel anything bad having him inside your place and talking to him.
“Can you buy me that one?” he says referring to the cup of bubble tea that sits on your table.
“Oh, sure” you say smiling.
As you push the door, the cold air blows on your face, welcoming you coldly. There are still small raindrops that falls and you think that this won’t fall hard.
You push the door of the shop. As you walk across the counter and order a bubble tea, you hear something.
“The news said that Lay oppa is missing” a teenage girl says to her company.
“Oh Gosh! That’s terrible. Where did he go?” The other one response.
“They say that he wandered around this area that’s why I insist you here blah blah blah…”
You don’t want to hear it but your ears have absorbed the news. You think the guy who is now in your place, his name is also Lay. And you can conclude that he was the one talking about the news.
You paid for the bubble tea and run immediately home. You found Lay sitting still.
“Here” you put it on the table near him. “I overheard news. I think your fans are worrying and finding you nonstop” he was startled. He thinks you know everything all of a sudden.
“wh…what?” he stammers.
“You better go home” you say. You’re not rude that you need to drag him out, but he has to go home and his family is worried sick about him.
“I know, but let me thank you for letting me in though you don’t know me” he says smiling, revealing his dimples.
“It’s ok, it’s a pleasure. I think I’m looking forward for your next visit” you say smiling.
