The others Chapter 1

His eyes opened. He looked outside the window and saw the clouds. He exhaled a big breath and sat up. His day has begun. He walked into the bathroom, after 20 minutes he was in his kitchen eating his breakfast. After eating, he gazed at the smoke coming out of his coffee mug. It was his everyday routine to see the smoke coming out his coffee until coffee gets cold. After drinking his coffee, he picked up his bag and stepped outside. Outside world was alive, people were walking and laughing. Today the sky was covered with snowy clouds and snowflakes were in the air. He put in his hand frees and played the songs on shuffle. He knew every song in his playlist and can guess the shuffle pattern. He began his walk towards his office. On the way he saw all the usual places but this time there was a change. Snow was everywhere and kids were playing in the snow. He saw couple of new faces on the way. Some happy, some in deep thoughts and some were just sad. He looked at his watch and started taking quick steps. Song changed in his ear.

He entered his work building. This was a stock exchange and he was the head of security here. He started seeing familiar faces who were smiling at him and saying good morning but as usual he did not smiled back and just nodded at every face. He entered his office and unpack his bag. Put down his laptop, login to his work id and sat on the chair. His secretary came in with a knock.

"Good morning Sir"

He nodded and looked at her. She was new.

"I am new secretary Sir, my name is Melissa"

"Hmm"

"Sir, today you have a meeting in thirty minutes and no personal message"

He nodded.

Melissa walked out and reached her desk. His coworker came to his desk. His name was Leon. He was charged with teaching her everything about the office.

Leon: Had the cold pleasure?

Melissa: What?

Leon: Talking about Mr. Brown.

Melissa: Oh, yeah, I don't think he likes me.

Leon: No, he does not talk much. You just have to give him his work messages.

Melissa: Coffee? What do I do with personal messages.

Leon: He does not drink coffee and do not worry about personal messages. He gets none.

Melissa: Why?

Leon: He got no family or friends. He walks in, keeps the company secure and walks out. Never attended a party or any event.

Melissa: Isn't that against company's policy?

Leon: Well he never cared for it and company does not care. He keeps them safe and owners are happy.

Melissa: He is too young to be head of Cyber Security.

Leon: Almost twenty five years old but hey man got no distractions in life so he is talented.

After some time she saw Mr. Brown coming out. He walked into the meeting room with other companies' officials.

At the end of the day, he walked back home. Songs changed but he could already guess which will come next. He laid in his bed, opened up his laptop and started watching "Batman: Dark knight". It was his everyday routine to watch all Joker's scenes. After that he started "Batman: The dark knight rises". He watched all the Bane scenes like he did every day. Then he started watching sitcoms. At eight PM, he put on his gym attire and went to gym. Songs changed on the way and in the gym. He trained as usual. Quite and by himself. After gym, he walked to his flat. He prepared his dinner, ate it and slept.

Next day, He woke up. Bathroom and breakfast. Watched the smoke coming out his coffee. Walked out, put in his hand frees and started walking. Today sky was grey but no snow. He saw familiar faces, same emotions. Today kids were playing. People going to their jobs. Saw the same homeless man lying in a street corner. He walked into his workplace. Same smiles, same nods. Melissa came in.

"Good morning MR. Brown, there are no meetings or messages today"

He nodded.

After work, he came back. Saw the both Batman movies' scenes. At gym time, he put on his gym attire and stood in front of the mirror. He spoke and his voice was almost same as movie's character Bane.

"Ahhhh, you think darkness is your Ally? I was born in darkness, molded by it. I didn't see the light until i was already a man but it was nothing to me but blinding"
