The Others Chapter 3

Brook was not in the office today, Casey called Melissa. When Melissa came in his office, he asked

"Brook came in yet?"

"No Sir"

"He called in sick?"

"No Sir"

"hmm, well call him"

"Leon told me to Sir, but Mr. Brown is not answering"

"Well then, mark him as sick"

"OK sir"

She turned but Casey stopped her and said

"I solved your problem by the way, you will not be bothered again on your way"

"Thank you so much sir, i really appreciate it"

"Do not worry about it, i saw a chance and took it"

Melissa smiled and walked out.

At noon, Brook showed up with bandages on his hand. Casey called him in.

"What happened Brook? what's up with the hand?"

"Nothing, cut in preparing Breakfast"

"Well, you can take the day off, i already marked you as sick for today"

Brook nodded and walked out. He walked to his flat. After he walked in, he saw the mirror all over the floor and dried up blood drops. He exhaled a big breath and started cleaning.

After cleaning, He saw his coffee mug on the table from yesterday night, it was full. He threw it out and washed the cup. He prepared another cup and opened his laptop. He started watching "Batman: the dark knight". But this time, he was looking at the smoke coming out of the cup and his ears listening to joker's voice. His face showed that he is in deep thought. His lips started to move according to Joker's dialogues. At last, coffee smoke stopped. He started taking sips and played "Batman: Dark knight rises".

At night, Gym was echoing with sounds of his punches hitting the sandbag. He did not trained today, he walked in and went straight for the punching bag. His punches were powerful making so much loud sounds that he could hear them even though his headphones were on loudest volume. People who were not using headphones were getting disturbed. After half an hour, he finally stopped and walked out. When he was returning from gym. He saw the street where he turned to take Melissa home. He started walking in the street, around the corner and then he reached Alexei house. He saw some boys standing in front. He walked up to them and said

"Tell Alexei, Brook is here to see him. Arthur sent me"

Mobster looked at him and said

"Walk away buddy"

Brook got close to him and said

"Tell Anatoly, Arthur sent me"

All the gang knew about Alexei going to Arthur's party and so the mobster went inside. After some time he came out and nodded to Brook. Brook walked in. They walked through different rooms full of mobsters. At last, they walked in a room where Alexei was sitting in a chair. Alexei looked at him and said

"What happened?"

"I have a deal for you"

"You said Arthur sent you"

"Now i am saying i have a deal for you"

Alexei exhaled a breath and said

"Get out "

"Alexei, i just want to talk and strike a deal, i can pay big"

"How do i know you are not with police?"
