~DINAH JANE~
We almost kissed. I think. She could've just been getting something off my face. Maybe.

I was pissed that Choie walked in but at the same time I was grateful. If we did kiss what would that mean for us? I mean we were both from two different worlds essentially and the way the bellhops treated me just proved that.

I left after Normani patched up my knees and elbow. It was just a little awkward after our little moment in the bathroom. I haven't spoke to her in nearly a month it's like she completely forgot I exist which is exactly what I was afraid of.

Every time I called her the phone went to voicemail. I missed her but apart of me knew this one was gonna happen. I knew she would end up abandoning me but I thought it would be after she found out I was homeless definitely not from this.

It was pretty late in the morning as it was just going on eleven a.m. so pretty late by my standards considering I get up at six or seven. I was bored Normani had been keeping me occupied for the last couple months even if it was just a phone call so now that she was ignoring me I was bored. Lonely.

Algee has been studying for his finals so he's been super busy, he hasn't even been at work lately. I was alone for majority of my whole life but now that I had gotten a taste of what it was like to have others in my life I didn't want them to go away.

I thought about the possibility that Normani was just busy because she was a celebrity and I heard that she was working on her next album but even when she was working she always called me on her breaks. I was slowly beginning to realize that she just didn't want anything to do with me.

I shuffled on my bench as another person came and dropped some change in the styrofoam cup placed the appropriate distance away from me but just close enough so people knew it belonged to me.

I sighed as I glanced across the street to where Ally's Cafe was the wooden sign catching my attention. I grabbed my cup and titled the contents into my jacket pocket before walking across the street.

I took in the warm atmosphere and breathed in the hazelnut scent of the half full restaurant. I walked towards the counter with my hands in my back pockets of my jeans which I decided was the more appropriate attire for me instead of shorts since I get pushed a lot and I'm better protected in jeans from the hard gravel.

The line was pretty short so I stood behind the few people waiting to place their order. A few minutes had passed and I was finally face to face with Yara. I wasn't very familiar with Yara considering we only met each other once and we barely talked since she had to get back to work.

'Hey Dinah it's been a while I feel like you're only here when Normani's with you' she greeted politely.

'Yeah but I never got a good look at the menu so I wanted to come back a-and t-try a few things' I told her.

'Well you can have a seat over there and it should be a menu over there already'. She pointed towards a table by a window.

I mumbled a thanks and went to go sit at the table she pointed out. I looked over the menu deciding on a breakfast sandwich and some tea. I waited just staring at everyone in the cafe a little creepily just wondering what their story was.

The woman whose name I remembered to be Ally came over with a notepad in her hand.

'Hey it's Dinah right?'

'Yes it is. Ally?'

'That would be me we're a little short staff today so I'll be your waiter' she smiled.

'Aren't you also the owner and chef?' I asked amazed that this woman was doing all of this.

'Yes ma'am sometimes you have to do what you have to do so what can I get for you?' She replied her smile never leaving her face.
