"Bye" Day said at my apartment door.
I smiled and closed the door. I made a lunge for the couch. I was planning on watching the news but I immediately fell asleep.
The next morning I woke with a start. A cold sweat tricked down my neck. Nightmares. I quickly got up and changed, and put my hair up into a high ponytail. I stopped at my kitchen to grab a breakfast bar and started for the door. Today I was to help Anden prepare for his journey to have a meeting in Australia.
I reached his office and knocked.
"Come in."
I opened the door to find Anden sitting at his desk.
"Shall we leave?"
He gave me a slight nod. We began walking to the plane.
"How's Day? He asked.
"Ummm, he seems to be recovering"
"Good"
We reached the plane. I stepped inside. Time for me to check the plane for any weapons, bombs, the usual, and of course, found nothing rather suspicious. I waved Anded goodbye and walked back home. My days seemed to follow this pattern. There wasn't a big war going on anymore so I didn't have that much work to do. I stopped at my door to unlock it and found a piece of paper taped to the door.
Dinner?
-Day
I smiled as I grabbed it from the door and walked inside.
