Therese Greenfield
I had fallen asleep again. Calvin shook me awake. He looked really worried.
"For a second, I thought you've entered a slumber contest with Tamara," Calvin said. "Tamara wouldn't wake up, but she's alive. C'mon, let's go to my house. Tamara's usually like that when she's tired."
"Calvin what exactly happened?" I ask.
"I don't know..." He scrunches his face, trying to think. "I don't really understand anything."
"Makes sense." I said.
"Hey!"
I snickered at his response. Boys are just so weird. I fought the strong urge to roll my eyes.
I ask Calvin to tour me around the island. It was beautiful. I saw different monuments, artifacts, and a magnificent castle. Calvin says it belongs to Paige Ersatz, the reigning queen of Kralc Island.
"Calvin!" somebody from behind me called out. "Calvin! Hey! Brother!"
Calvin and I turn around, I come face to face with a beautiful girl. She resembles Calvin so much, except Calvin is not beautiful.
"Alison!" Calvin hugged her. "Alison, this is Therese, my friend. Therese, this is Alison, my sister. And this guy over here, is Carter, my sister's husband."
"Hey Alison, Carter." I smiled.
"You are a beautiful, young girl." Alison smiled. "How I wish I'd have a daughter just like you!"
"Don't worry Al, you'll too." Calvin reassured her sister.
"So, what are you doing here with this lovely, young lady?" Alison asked.
"Let's get something to eat at the Platsbelle Café. We can talk in private there." Calvin suggested.
On the way to this fancy Platsbelle Café, Calvin told me that this café was one of the very few cafés in Kralc that actually had privacy. It was quite pricey but people who talk in private go there.
Calvin explained to Alison and Carter what was happening. It was weird, the way they talked. They moved their hands constantly, talk with a weird pause, and disagree a lot. Calvin and Alison had a habit of scratching their elbows whenever they prove something. It was the weirdest of the weird.
"So you're saying she could be the one?" Alison fumed, "Carter you can't go around accusing lovely girls of being a tyrant!"
"I wasn't accusing her of a tyrant!" Carter fumed.
"Hey, excuse me, I'm still here? It's rude to talk about me while I'm here as if I wasn't here." I interjected
"Well, Carter here was accusing you of being the deserving queen of Kralc who's heart becomes as hard as a stone-" Alison began.
"But I didn't say you'll be a tyrant, I said that there will be a period of tyranny, but an act of love, I assume, could break it." Carter finished.
"You're too mushy." Alison rolled her eyes.
"But you st-"
"Ew, stop flirting right in front of us." Calvin laughs.
Alison's cheeks reddened. Calvin's family was beautiful. Sure, they were orphaned at a young age, but at least they had an idea who were they.
I didn't even know myself.
