Therese Greenfield
"Therese!" Calvin called out, "THERESE!"
Until this very moment, I had NO idea where in the world was Calvin's voice coming from. Yes, this house was that big.
"Where are you?" I called out.
"Room 4AB."
"Alright, alright, I'm coming."
I walked three flights of stairs just to reach Room 4AB. Calvin's home was a four-story building with 7 rooms each floor, and to think that Kralc citizens thought this house was basic.
Imagine how huge must the Queen's palace be. She probably had fifty bedrooms or something.
I arrived at the particular room, and sure enough, Calvin was there, panting.
"Eh? What took you so long?" Calvin said.
"I took only three minutes, dimwit."
"Yeah, whatever. Now," He took a deep breath, "Let's go to Tamara's. She has something really important to tell you.
"Alright, Alright."
Calvin and I were supposed to go to Tamara's, but apparently, Mr. Scrawny Man passed out on the spot. If I were a prim and proper lady, I would have called for help, but no, I'm not, so instead, I dragged him to lie on the nearest couch.
"You...are...so...heavy...for...such...a...scrawny...boy..." I breathed out.
I tried to lay him as gently as I could, but I just can't. I guess I was born clumsy.
"Sorry 'bout that. Now what medical mumbo jumbo should I do to you?"
I honestly had no idea what to do with him, so I went to their kitchen, grabbed a basket, proceeded to the garden, picked some berries, and lastly, made some juice.
I carried the juice into Room 4AB, and waited for him to wake up. A few minutes passed and sleepy head finally budged.
"About time. How're you feeling?" I asked.
"I don't know. Is that for me?" He looked at the juice.
"Yes." I blushed, "Picked 'em up while you were out."
"Thank you." He smiled.
As he was drinking, I noticed his pale cheeks returning to its usual rosy tinge, his tired eyes perking up, his messy brown hair getting warmer and pleasant to the eyes. He was actually handsome, and don't you dare tell him I told you that.
"So Therese, about Tamara, we really have to go. It's sort of urgent." He looked at me.
"On that serious note, are you feeling alright?"
"Yes, Nurse Therese. Thank you for taking good care of me." He grinned mischievously, "Kidding. Seriously though, thank you, I appreciate the effort. Just so you know, the berries you picked up are called Sonata Berries. They originated here in Kralc and they taste horrible if you don't know how to prepare it. I don't know how'd you make it, but it was the best Sonata Berry juice I've ever tasted. It tasted like..."
"Like?"
"Like my deceased friend's one. Remember her? The one I was talking about when we first met. She really looks like you. I swear."
"Calvin, are you sure she's really just a friend?" I teased him.
He let out a laugh and diverted the subject, "This is really good."
I blushed at his compliment, fortunately, he can't see me because I was facing the opposite side.
"Get up," I said, "Tamara must be waiting."
----
"Therese." His warm breath says against my cold neck.
"Will you please... GIVE ME SOME SPACE. THANK YOU, SIR." I growled.
"How would you expect me to give you space when we're stuck in this small Pro-Lift? And besides, I'm sure your enjoying my company. Tamara really should pay her electric bills on time. Now keep quiet, I'm trying to contact Carter. He would know how to fix this."
I shot him a glare as I try not to stick my skin with his. They should have a Pro-Lift expansion.
In case you were wondering, a Pro-Lift is like an elevator, except it's more advanced. It had sleek silver walls, embedded with gems, and it basically could transport you anywhere in the entire world.
Well, not exactly anywhere, each place you would want to go requires a code. You only get to access it depending on your section and status. The more access code you get, the higher your status is. It's probably one of the basis of powerfulness in Kralc.
On Calvin's case, he was in the Kisc Section (which was the most neglected section) and his status was Hunter (which is kind of high considering he's in Kisc), so the only codes he knew were his friends' and his pack members
(Pack- a group of warriors under a hunter.)
"Carter? Carter? Hello, please help us." Calvin said through the holographic image of Carter.
"How may I help you?" He looked back.
"We're stuck in a Pro-Lift. We were on our way to Tamara's."
"Oh, that's quite simple. Just drop a coin on the slot in the bottom corner, click button 12DZ, and press the green button."
"Alright thanks!" He responded, ending the call before Carter got to say goodbye.

Calvin and I walked towards Tamara's room. Her house is on of the smallest in Kisc—she wanted to keep a low profile.
"Tamara..." Calvin starts talking.
I was not able to hear the rest of his words, my thoughts were being disrupted. Suddenly, I heard a voice speaking in my head.
"You've arrived a bit too late, my dear." she cackles, "Don't worry, once I get everything sorted out, you're going to die for the benefit of all. I hope I don't see you again."
It sounded so much like Paige Ersatz, but I doubt it. Her sweet, innocent voice is not capable of that... I felt like I was in a hypnotic state.
"Therese? Are you okay?" Tamara asks, worry written in every inch of her face.
"Y-yes. Sorry, what were you saying?"
"I suggest you take a bite of this cookie before I let you process the information you're about to take in." She looked at me, handing me a cookie.
I munched on the sweet treat, and it lessened my nervousness. It had this tangy taste.
"I mixed a few Kralc Alders into the batter." She smiled, "It soothes the nerves, now sweetheart, I'm too old to tell you everything, so you'll have to remember the rest. The thing is, you're a queen, you're the deserving queen of this island. You're the one in the Legend."
"W-what? Is it April fools or something?" I shot Calvin a glare.
But his face, every inch was contorted in shock. He was surprised, he looked like he didn't know whether to laugh or cry. It was like a beautifully tragic news for him.
"Well, how do you expect me to believe?"
"You'll have to remember, my dear. Are you ready to recollect?" She smiled, holding up a vial of green syrupy substance. "This would give your memories back, slowly, not all at once, but eventually, you'll start remembering."
The idea of remembering was so beautiful. I gave Calvin a glance, he looked like he didn't take Tamara's news very well. He seemed... distracted.
"Remember that deceased friend of mine? The one that looked a lot like you?" I heard him say right before I chug in the contents.
I do not respond, I close my eyes. With the fragile vial on my hand, I chug it all in, and let scraps of my memories come back.
